And Wyman is much the same [as Watts]: basically a bassist with a lack of even the most basic technical skills, but able to always find that fantastic groove and swing, and always able to add a melodic layer in what is fairly simple music.

Why is this funny? It's true smiling smiley

It is funny. I laugh t most of his posts. Love to meet the guy.....not

It's funny in that it is so contradictory. A bassist without the most basic technical skills able to find fantastic grooves and add melodic layers. Obviously both Wyman and Watts have their basic technical skills well mastered.

Any true musician would be honored to have these two holding down the rhythm section for them, would likely be blown away by their ability to handle all the technicalities of their roles and would never question their skills. How can anyone suggest or try to affirm that theses guys aren't some of the best in the business at what they do...play rock and roll rhythm. Hilarious.

Rockman's a hack. He's the Kenny Bania of IORR:

...look Rockman, soup is NOT a meal!

And don't get me started on StonesTod, his material was so weak he got himself banned just to maintain a shred of dignity rather than subject us to another mindnumbing anecdote.

The whole coining of the phrase "Scarf Me Up" and the creation of the character of Keith's scarf- the malevolent force that is really behind all those blown opening riffs. That's message board magic.

I'd forgotten all about the evil wrought by Keith's scarf, that was hilarious. grinning smiley

For a guy who has made a habit of removing "offensive" posts and banning people I can't believe he didn't remove this one, particularly since it was about Lisa who was untouchable for a long time, even for legitamate criticism.

Please. You'll be back as soon as you hear the praises the Beatles fans heap onto Sgt. Pepper's, even though it's not even as good as GHS.

"With a Little Help from My Friends" is the only worthwhile tune off that LSD drenched album. Even the Stones Dirty Work is much better. Gomper is better than anything on Sgt Peppers.

Extra protein, I get it. Some cultures have some mite-y strange ways of getting their protein, but each to their own.

Now, at last, that line from the Men At Work song that's been plaguing me for over 30 years is finally explained.

Now, if someone would please explain Marmite. Is it the same idea?
