Time to get Hyde Park as complete as possible - Please help

There's still no really satisfactory bootleg CD. All releases lack something. I heard that a new DVD bootleg is circulating with three more video soundboard tracks, that did not make it on the official releases: No Expectations, Mercy Mercy and one more (don't know which song).

Maybe now is a good time to get everything together as good as possible. A complete list is like this (not including interviews about the show etc.):

The Complete Hyde Park 1969 Tapes

1. I’m Yours And I’m Hers (backstage rehearsal) old European bootleg CD, probably
“Stones In The Park” LLR CD 032
2. Adonais (Eulogy for Brian Jones) official DVD
3. I’m Yours And I’m Hers (complete, audience) 3’06 “In The Park” Gold Standard SRCO 001
4. Jumpin’ Jack Flash 3’19 official DVD
5. Mercy Mercy 2’50 new SBD video on bootleg DVD
6. Down Home Girl 4’53 “Stones In The Park” VGP-296
7. Stray Cat Blues 3’36 “Stones In The Park” VGP-296
8. No Expectations 3’22 new SBD video on bootleg DVD
9. I’m Free 2’48 official DVD
10. Loving Cup 5’06 “Stones In The Park” VGP-296
11. Love In Vain 4’26 official DVD
12. Satisfaction (complete, audience) 6’17 “In The Park” Gold Standard SRCO 001
13. Honky Tonk Women 3’15 official DVD
14. Midnight Rambler 8`44 (without TV comments, audience) “In The Park” Gold Standard SRCO 001 (the VGP lacks the last 5 sec)
15. Street Fighting Man 3’27 “Stones In The Park” VGP-296
16. Sympathy For The Devil 17’53 (complete, audience) “Stones In The Park” VGP-296

plus the incomplete/ edited official takes of:

17. I’m Your And I’m Hers (SBD, edited) 2’09 official DVD
18. Satisfaction 4’04 (SBD, edit) official DVD
19. Midnight Rambler 8`44 (with TV comments, SBD) official DVD
20. Sympathy For The Devil 10’17 (SBD, incomplete) official DVD

Total time: 103 min.

Would be cool if we got this together! Thanks in advance!

I don't think that it was "really" done. Also the three surfaced SBD tracks are available now.

The running times are taken from the "Weissbuch Recording Index" by Dieter Hoffmann. That does not always mean that they are actually taken from right speed sources.

Anyway, I think VGPs audience CD and of course the official releases are the "basic tracks" for a project like this - but not enough.

I think all available material is audience except from the official DVD tracks and the three new ones on bootleg DVD.

Hi guys. I don't 'speak' very often, but the 'Hyde Park' gig has just been re-released officially over here on DVD (in the UK), with 3 additional tracks that weren't included on previous editions. I haven't bought it & can't remember which tracks they are - though I suspect these tracks are what you're talking about when you mention a 'bootleg' dvd. I'll dig out the ad (it's in 'Q' magazine) & I've seen it in the shops.

I though it was a bootleg, but could be official. I wonder if the three new video tracks appear on the German reissue as well. There was a radio broacast too? Okay, I haven't listened to the show a couple of years. Anyway, the audience supplements were in great quality as well, for that period.

What you are looking for is available on a silver pressed CD titled "Rolling Stones In The Park", digipak cover, label: PARK 8.

Don't know this one. But does it really include EVERYTHING - the complete audience takes of some songs as well as the edited/shorter SBD versions, does it include I'm Your And I'm Hers (rehearsal) etc.?? I don't think so, but that would be great.

if you want everything from hp,,,,time running must be over 80 min..
my complication is more than 79 min...(backstage reh not included)
hope somebody post aud rec someday ?

I'm working on the definitive version. It's tedious. I'm using:

"Hyde Park 1969" Contraband LP, audience recording, released early 1970s
"Stones in the Park" recent Japanese/European DVD, audio digitally extracted using DVD Decrypter
"In the Park" Scorpio/Gold Standard CD of different audience recording
CDR of master tape of 1979 WLIR FM broadcast special on the concert

All tracks are smoothly crossfaded together using these four sources. All are pitch corrected to match the DVD.

I'm using the FM source wherever possible and filling in the gaps with everything else. When I finish this will have the following advantages over every previous bootleg release:

-all tracks in best possible quality, better than TSP or VGP releases
-all tracks complete as possible
-all dialog complete as possible
-all tracks at correct speed
-interviews with Jo Bergman and ? about the concert, at the end

The only downside is the jarring change in sound quality from FM/DVD to audience source. On that, Mick's voice is too loud and the rest of the band is in the background, especially on the LP source. Fortunately I only use that between songs.

I hope to finish by the end of the year. Trades?

Dave

Yes I think it's as complete as possible. The songs you mention are not recorded twice on this CD but they are mixed together from the soundboard and audience recording to get the complete versions. The rehearsal is not included since it is only one CD and there's no more space on it.

Another question: What is this bootleg DVD with additional songs? Don't know it. Where can I find it?

I have uploaded the CD I mentioned. So you can check if it is complete. Maybe you still find some missing parts, if yes please let us know.

Thx midnrambler but I can't d/l this, I get a 'system is busy' message, which is rubbish as I'm d/l other stuff from YSI even as we speak.

I'm sure YSI blocks certain files to force you to sign up as I've had this happen @ other times. Any chance of a repost, on sendspace perhaps? Thx in advance.

The "bootleg" DVD is actually the official Japanese (and UK?) rerelease. German edition etc. lacks the new tracks.

And neither version of this DVD plays in the US correct? Why do we always get short-changed?!

Yes, he did. He put it on Hungercity - but it's not there anymore after the crash. Excellent work - absolutely complete, and best possible quality....even better than the bootlegs. I'll be happy to re-upload it there if I got dph's permission.

Erik,

I posted a version of this show a couple of days ago, but because I didn't keep notes of which boot I posted, it has caused some confusion. One of the issues is what order the songs were actually played that day. Here's a link to that discussion:

If you can find the info on the Hungercity version you're talking about, would you advise us of the track listing and any other information you think might help? As I said in the other thread, my version is 15 tracks on one disk with a running time of 79:10. The track order on my disk does not agree with Nico's information, but does appear to be the same as one or more boots...

Thanks

Hi Texas fan,
your upload doesn't fit with the versions of Hyde Park I have...neither the VGP CD which I uploaded to Hungercity (clocks in at about 79 minutes) nor dph's torrent. dph's torrent is more than 80 minutes...meaning that it's 2 discs:

"CD1:
01. introduction by Sam Cutler
02. Adonais
03. I'm Yours And I'm Hers*
04. Jumping Jack Flash
05. Mercy Mercy
06. Stray Cat Blues
07. No Expectations
08. I'm Free
09. Down Home Girl
10. Love In Vain
11. Loving Cup
12. Honky Tonk Women

CD2:
01. Midnight Rambler introduction
02. Midnight Rambler*
03. Satisfaction*
04. Street Fighting Man
05. Sympathy For The Devil
06. interview 1
07. interview 2
08. interview 3
09. interview 4
10. interview 5
11. interview 6

*multiple source"

I've sent an email to watchit (dph), and will re-upload it to Hungercity if I get permission
