There was a bit of hearsay on Shidoobee that a rep from Daryl's bass guitar
company had told someone that Daryl was no longer on retainer by the Stones...

Which would tend to support the Wyman rumours.

And which would also tend to support my earlier speculation that Wyman is currently
on retainer by the Stones.

Note: Hearsay is not admissible in a court of law.

He's not really needed if the Stones chose to record some new songs anyway. He was only on half the songs on their last album, after all.

I agree with your first sentence, completely.
But playing bass on only about half the songs does describe several Bill Wyman era Rolling Stones LP's.

One show per day for 8 days... wow!

Nice room, almost like a barn with 200 people. The 3 guys had fun.
Great show, totally different approach to rock/blues music.
Darryl even sang own songs. Will Calhoun is the best drummer
I have seen. And I have seen a lot.

Darryl signed my LIVE LICKS booklet, so at least the CD made
some sense after all><

Will Calhoun signed a drumstick and handed it to me. Great guy.
Living Colour will be back in the studio in autumn, he said.

If you go, bring your stuff. They sign everything.

I guess none outside the four of them (Ronnie, Keith, Charlie and Mick) are in business with Stones anymore. With exception from a few releases of older material - Stones have been inactive since 2007.
They will not keep Darryl, Chuck or whoever in business if they don't know what is going to happen in the future. A recording here and there doesn't require external help - they themself can play bass, piano or whatever needed.
Only in case of a tour they will consider Darryl, Chuck - you can't keep people on hold for years for no purpose.

Hamburg anyone?
