Rolling Stones 1999 U.S. Tour Announced

In a series of simultaneous press conferences on Monday, the Rolling Stones unveiled plans for a 1999 U.S. arena tour in support of their recently released live album No Security. The tour will run from late January through early April, visiting twenty-four U.S. cities with one Canadian stop.

Tickets for the entire two-month run are set to go on sale November 20th through 22nd. A full recap of sales details will appear on Live Daily's Weekend as new ticketing details emerge throughout the week.

No Security continues the Rolling Stones' decade-long practice of releasing a live album from every major tour. The 14 tracks on the collection draw from the band's current Bridges To Babylon tour, a stadium outing that will continue in the United Kingdom following the U.S. arena run.

A limited number of "gold circle" seats will be made available by individual venues, in some cases hitting the $300 mark mentioned in recent press reports, though the lion's share of inventory will average $75, according to a press release issued Monday. The price scaling and anticipated demand for tickets places the tour in line to be one of the higher-grossing outings of 1999.

The routing of the tour leaves a few well-placed gaps for potential added shows as well as the addition of new markets. Of note is the current exclusion of New York dates.

The Corrs have been named as opening acts for March 7th through the 15th. The Goo Goo Dolls will open dates from March 20th through the 28th and Jonny Lang is currently set to open April 1st through the 8th, though not confirmed for the April 3rd show.
