I seem to recall that when Exhibitionism was announced last year, the Stones web site said it would include previously unheard tracks. Does it? Or am I wrong?

One issue which may effect future plans for more shows in Europe and UK, is the issue of security and terrorist threats. In all the years the Stones have been playing, Europe has never seen anything like the Paris attacks. Europe is changing and the future does not look stable in the short to medium term.

If I heard correctly Keith says "Ian Stewart started the Stones" in this documentary. My understanding is that Brian advertised and Ian was the first to answer. But Brian started the Stones, everyone else joined Brian's band. Is Keith's comment deliberate, or unthinking, or is his memory going? or am I wrong ?

Yes I think it could be earlier. They certainly played I'm Moving ON in September 1965 but I can't find it after that date and documentaries often pull together different bits of film from different times. I just got the impression from the initial post that this film had a 1966 live performance actually in Australia, but now I doubt it is actually that. Anyway, I will be patient and wait and s

This may be interesting but..............did the Stones ever play I'm Moving On in Australia or indeed anywhere in 1966? or could this be footage from Charlie Is My Darling recorded in March 1965? I've had a quick check and cannot find them playing I'm Moving On after mid 1965 ? I could have missed it though. Anyone know when they last played it?

Hi all I too received the same email today and I too had to enter "Essex" to complete the order (I'm in the UK). But I've checked all my card accounts and they have not taken any money out yet. They are going to represent for payment on the 11th next week and if they still cannot take the payment they say they will contact me again. However I am concerned that I have no email or phon

Thank you JimmyShelter, for the time you put into this tape. I was at both concerts that night and have waited a very long time to hear the show as clearly as you have now renovated it. Even able to now hear Jagger's "jokes" before Brown Sugar. You have done a great job. Thankyou.

I attended both the Coventry shows on 06/03/1971. At the first show I sat in the stalls (in front of the stage) and at the evening show I sat in the circle (the first level up). At the evening show they played "Prodigal Son". At the first show they did not play it. I have only ever heard of one show being recorded and I believe that is the first (early) show, because it does not have

You are (I think) absolutely right, Brian did not play sitar live in concert and my memory is definitely fading. BUT........in 1966 to follow supports like the Yardbirds (with both Beck and Page) and Tina Turner belting out "River Deep Mountain High" with an audience going wild (fainting / screaming / throwing underwear /clawing to reach the stage) unlike the tame audience of today w

Just remembering here in UK the October 1966 concert in Birmingham (UK) with Ike & Tina Turner Revue and Yardbirds supporting the Stones (with of course Brian on sitar and dulcima). Now that was a concert to remember.

OK!!!!! That's it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I've been with them since 1963 and I've paid 100's if not 1,000's to hear their music, but enough is enough! They have so much unreleased in the vaults but I'm not going to be stung again in my retirement. I've now realized they are over and I'm just going to listen to what I've got.

The Denmark Street studio in London, where the Stones recorded so much of their early work (e.g. Not Fade Away, Tell Me, Little Red Rooster, 1st LP plus many more) is finally set to disappear. This excellent article by Richard Williams explains; Farewell to Tin Pan Alley by Richard Williams Denmark StreetTo live in London at the start of the 21st century is to enjoy a double-edged p

This raises an interesting question................ If Johns was with the Stones on their 1st European Tour (as the book description above says) why was he there, which tour do they refer to, and importantly did he record any concerts? Although the Stones made a couple of European TV appearances in 1964 the 1st real tour must have been in 1965 in Scandinavia. We know Johns taped the six March s

In relation to JJF it must also be remembered that the Stones were at their lowest point after the drugs busts in 67. "We Love You" was not a strong single and it could be argued their career was at serious risk of stalling. Add in the problems with Brian and the band was in trouble. To recover an album would not have done the job. JJF was so strong that it gave them the exposure they

In a Christie's Auction catalogue from London 24th August 1989, three 45 rpm single sided acetates were sold. The catalogue entry says one disc was an instrumental backing track of "The Spider and The Fly". Another disc was an alternate take of "I've Gotta Get Away". The third disc was not detailed but given the wording in the catalogue description just might have been an

I was a Mod in the middle of England in the sixties (near Coventry). We drove Lambretta scooters, with high fur covered back rests for the girls, plenty of chromed mirrors and multi coloured paint work (we good not afford to chrome the side panels). Often the paint work was just two colours "two - tone". We met up at various coffee houses (like the Il Cadore in Leamington Spa) and had t
