Does anyone monitor these blogs?

Last updated spreadsheet was in June. There continues to be a problem with downloading from filefactory. Money and time is being waisted.

I have posted other messages regarding problems with files on FileFactory to no avail.

The problems still exist.

Why bother anymore with blogs and torrent websites. They are all a disorgianzed mess, few if any new or interesting posts.

The fun is gone. Time to move on with life and live with the official content being made available.

THE LAST TIME

Fifty Years of Dirty Work was the last, best posting on the internet for Stones material and look what has happened. nowhere to be found, no updates, no nothing.

WHAT A DRAG IT IS GETTING OLD...

9 posts in 2 years, most of them complaining about a broken link....
Grabbing and complaining, no contribution at all.
C and J paid for their FF accounts to bring us The Vault and if FF fücks up and loses some of the files, it isn't their fault.
So start putting up an "organized" site that never has issues, and share all your goodies. Until then, F.O.!!!!

Of course, if you're an uploader to the Vault, or contributed some $ to the guys running and paying for it, my apologies.

Echard has contributed some time ago. Being frustrated over FileFactory can be understandabel but is as you say, we Stonesvault can't help when a file is temporarely unavailabel.

One has to read what the message sais. Than just be patient and try again after a week or so. The file will still be availabel again.
It is another story When a file is broken or fallen off the server. Than we first will run a check and when nessesary will upload a new file.


It is nothing new for the downloadsites in the old days had the same problems.
We all can remember; file unavailabel due to downloadtrafic too high or all free slots are in use or whatever.

I realy don't know what happend. I think the artwork was accidently copied into a file with a weird name, and lateron changed that name into from this artwork.
I could have sworn I did listen to the tracks but must be mistaken about that.

As indicated in the previous Taylor post (see page 39) all analyses are to be seen as a reference. All files are analysed using Audacity. When analysing using EAC some lossy files might as well be seen as lossless and vise versa. In the coming periode I will re-analyse with EAC all that were indicated as lossy

Wow! That's a lot of Mick Taylor stuff!

I collect Mick Taylor and I'll have to see if I have anything we don't have in the Vault.

The problem for me is a lot of Mick Taylor recordings aren't very good. My favorite is still "Mountains From Madrid" from the 1984 Bob Dylan tour (soundboard).

As far as a few post above goes about complaining....I can never than everyone enough for the people who run, pay for and upload!

It's not free to run the Stones Vault. There's a lot of material. It's a great resource. Donations are needed. Please give 10 dollars or Euros or better yet, a hundred!

For the people who facilitate the Stones Vault...well, you probably couldn't imagine how much work they do for no pay. It's a constant daily job. Thank you!

I did skip 1984 where Mick was touring with Bob Dylan, because of recent torrents, as well as they all are in "the 50 years of dirty works Mick Taylor solo torrent" that still is seeded by me at Demonoid.
I do have all of these 1984 shows and on request I will upload them.

It took me 3 months to sort all Taylor out. Check for best sources, delete duplicates, look for artworks, renaming filenames, adjust my excell, and so on.

Next project will be Keith. Lucky for me that will be not as massive as Mick Taylor. Renaming filenames is now 50% done.



I like to point you at page 39 of this thread.
Maybe you didn't notice but Little Red Rooster was already availabel as well as Time waits for no one, but better twice than nothing.
