Wow - that was awesome! Thanks so much.

Man - did she have great legs, I think hers deserve their own thread a la the Cyd Charrise one.

Wasn't looking too good, but I was feeling real well.

I also had problems viewing, but installing Quicktime solved the problem.

You should get a direct d/l link to Quicktime by doubleclicking the vid screen.

The Richards/Pallenberg couple did have a thing for sighthounds in those days?
Anita with two afghan hounds, Keith with his scottish deerhound Sif ...

This is a deerhound btw ...

Great clip. The scene towards the end, (when Anita is being interviewed by the middle aged guy in glasses)- her profile is almost a dead match of Brian Jones.
I agree - she needs a thread of her own.

Nice find Rockman. She was really pretty wasn't she?

I noticed that she was dressed mainly in light coloured clothes whereas Keith was dressed in mainly dark (black) clothing....

Dig all those classic cars too, lol!

This movie was shot on the first day after the day I was born.

Not that it matters much, of course. Great to see what a nice girl Anita was.

Interesting film. With her face impressions, smiles, eye-moves, etc. she has some kind of 'familiar' charisma... I don't know which way the influence went, but I can see Brian, Keith, and Mick on her. She has that magical "Rolling Stone" touch whatever it is (she is pretty, but somehow she also creates her own kind of cuteness, in terms of her own, if you know what I mean). At least that is what my eyes say.

It's watching stuff like this that makes me wish someone would hurry up and invent the time machine.

Agree fully. The tragedy- or however you view it - was that life soured in the 1970's (and for a longtime thereafter). She is a survivor-just- but perhaps things could have been so different. I believe there have been rumours of a book, but she seems to live comfortably enough and wouldn't do it just for the money. Probably say that all has been said that needs to be said already.
I'd nominate her as the 7th. Rolling Stone (just after Ian S)

There's a rumour going around that the time machine has already been invented, which seems highly likely to me. The problem is that the guy who invented it is living in the future and he's just gone back to 1969. I don't think he can be bothered to show everyone at IORR how his time machine works.

That is SO typical of these inventors from the 22nd century....

Doxa, you nailed it. Very much a "which came first, chicken or the egg," kind of thing. Keith seemed....business-like in the brief glimpse.

Nice pick, Rockman, as always.

Just check in the Rolling Stones first 30 years book. It reads Anita flew with Brian from Athens to Cannes on 17th May. Keith is said to have crossed Europe in one week with his car to join them. A bit weird, thinking Anita had broke up with Brian two months earlier.

Who is the Bentley's chauffeur?

Maybe Brian was in Cannes because the film which he did the score for - and Anita had a part in - was showing at the film festival at the time. It might make sense then. Still after what had gone on during their trip to N Africa not many months before, it does seem suprising.
But then, that's show biz, folks!

I get the feeling that it wasn't quite a straightforward split between Brian and Anita after that eventful trip to Morocco.

Perhaps the stones upcoming European tour, the film festival for A Degree of Murder and of course the looming trials for the bust meant that Keith and Anita's relationship had to have a kind of cooling period to allow things to get sorted out and settle down.

There must have been some really weird vibes and scenes between them all during that time! eye popping smiley

Notice that the guys kind of hassling Anita in the street mention Brian Jones, anyone speak french and know what they are saying?

Anyone worked out how to get the clip as a download?

I'm not competent enough to download any photos but if you click /search Anita on Google the first link will show a series of over 20+ images mainly taken since 2002 - including some great ones with Marlon. Otherwise the usual crowd: Marianne/Kate Moss/Sadie and Stella Mc...some also date to 1982 when she doesn't look in the best of health. She is still very photogenic...oddly in the recent shots can look anything from her actual age (65?) to a well preserved 40 something. One shot of her playing (?) the guitar at Ronnie Scotts Club.
Still a party animal though!
