Opening act was The Meters.

Sportska Dvorana, Zabreb, 6/21/76. My first Stones concert. Black & Blue was the actually LP, they played 4 songs from the album. @#$%& was performed with a big cock. Preston on keyboard, Ollie Brown on percussion, Keith on heroin, Mick on cocain. Ronnies first European tour with Stones.Very sinister, decadent feeling on stage.

Incredible shows. My first Stones two.(Those tickets on Zengraff book from this shows is from my colection). Street Fighting Man was killer (as evrywhere on this tour). And lianas part missing therfore security reasons,Stones (Mick) diidn't trust to safety in country behind iron curtain.

Prica se da su ta dva koncerta u Zagrebu prosla u pozorisnoj atmesferi jer je publika bila u soku.Ljudi nisu verovali da gledaju Stonese ispred sebe.Cak ih nike nije sacekao od fanova i novinara ni na aerodromu jer niko nije verovao da ce se pojaviti!Dva najmirnija koncerta koja su Stonesi ikada odsvirali.

To uopste nije tacno. Ali ta prica je bila u novinama, i onda su svi koji nisu bili na koncertima to prihvatili. Kao nisu svirali ''Satisfaction'' i ljudi nisu znali sta da ocekuju. Taj clanak objavio je u ''DZuboksu'' Marko Jankovic. I posto je on jedan decko iz provincije koji nista ne razume, to se prosirilo. A svoj doprinos toj prici, ako se ne varam, dao je i Peca Popovic,
Ustvari Dvorana ''Sportova''(sada ''Drazen Petrovic'') bila je oba dana puna. (2 X 10.000). I kakao je bilo u Parizu tako je bilo i u Zagrebu. (To mi sada znamo, jer mozemo da vidimo, recimo, taj koncert iz Pariza). I samo nije bio onaj stos sa lijanom, jer Mick nije imao poverenja u sigurnost u hali. A kada je bilo polivanje vodom, ljudi su, iako ne pripremljeni, bili u delirijumu. Uostalom ima i snimak jednog koncerta iz Nemacke iz te godine, gde je bila mirnija atmosfera nego u Zgb. Uostalom i da je tako bilo, da publika nije reagovala kako treba to ne bi bilo nista strasno. Ali bilo je drugacije. To je bio drugi koncert Stonsa u nekoj komunistickoj zemlji (posle Poljske u sezdesetim-tu je bila ona cuvena prica da su komunisticki funkcioneri i njihova deca dobli karte, a da su pravi fanovi bili napolju) i bilo bi savim prirodno da publika bude nespremna. Na kraju krajeva ko je od nas tada znao sta ce sve biti na koncertu : voda, top sa laticam ruze, Bili Preston na klaviru, gumeni falus i sl.
Sto se tice fanova i cekanja i sl. to tada nije bio obicaj. Sa druge strane nije bilo interneta i sl. pa ljudi nisu znali gde su Stonsi boravili u Zagrebu (mislim u ''Esplanadi").
Ali najinteresantnije je to da kada jedan kreten prosiri neku stvar, ljudi tome bezrezervno veruju.

Vojo jel imas neku sliku iz Zagreba 1976 ?

Uglavnom ove objavljene ovde ali poslacu ti te clanke, pa ih ti objavi ovde ako te ne mrzi. Znas da ja slabo stojim sa tim ubacivanjem slika. Imam i karte, ali to ima tamo kod Zengraffa. Jebiga ponosan sam zato sto su to bas moje karte.

Vojo ja sam tu pricu cuo od Ivana Ivackovica,naseg poznatog Stones novinara.Verovatno imas i njegovu knjigu 'Umetnost pobune".Marka Jankovica sam upoznao na koncertu Stonesa u Atini 1998,to mu je bio 9-i njihov koncert,i nije mi pominjao Zagreb.Prvi put ih je gledao u Hyde parku.
Nisam mislio da je publika bila mirna jer ne poznaje dobro repertoar Stonesa nego je bila toliko srecna i u neverici da ih gleda uzivo pa je malo 'slabije" reagovala.Uostalom i ja sam bio malo "izgubljen"i izbezumljen kad sam ih gledao prvi put i Budimpesti sa pet metara daljine.Ti si bio na koncertu u Zagrebu i ti sigurno bolje znas od svih nas kako je bilo.

I remember that "Hobo" (Földes László) wrote an article in a then new brave HUngarian magazine "Mozgó Világ" (in 1978?) about his first live Stones experience in '76 Zagreb.There were beautiful quality b/w pics, too. If I'm wright he stated that they also played Angie,Hot Stuff and even Short and Curlies?!

Sorry, but I don't have it.
It was in the first ever issue in I think 1978. Hobo (Földes László) wrote under the name "Szerémi László".About 12 pages with 5-6 awsome fotos by Diner Tamás if I remember correctly.

I found that article in the National Library Of Hungary.

Only one very good photo of Mick. I saw the other photos by Díner Tamás in another magazine.
The author (Földes/Szerémi László alias Hobo) describes the show very in detail, song by song.

N. Zentgraf ("complete works 1962-2007") doesn't have any information about the 2 Zagreb gigs......
