Good for you, Lawrence...always good to see a 'convert' and I hope you get to see more Stones shows.

I think in general the critique is aimed more at the Stones and their motives for doing such a show than at the people fortunate enough to get in. As Bob Dylan put it, "I cant help it...if I'm lucky..."

maybe when one considers where these cats came from ... i mean: they weren't born rich.
somehow it doesn't surprise me that they would get a kick out of being paid 5.4 million or whatever
for a private party on the band's anniversary of all dates.

anyway i'm glad the people there dug it - that's what it's for

No way. More like $5.5 million

Here's a link that says $50.5 Million.....

It's possible that some journalist made an arithmetic mistake...

$62,000 per minute (X 80 minutes) does not equal anything close to $50 Million.
Added too many zeros...or messed up the decimal point I guess....or
can't read his calculator. I'm guessing it's inability to read a calculator.

I did a search this morning...and again this afternoon. It seems that some
publications that had printed $50 million may have corrected it.

az central.com still has the $50 MILLION figure.

Forget about those numbers. All reports that use the crowd number of 700 for the DB BCN show copied reports from IORR. That is my own personal estimate, not coming from any other sources. DB paid around 3.5 million euro which is 5 mill us dollars. Not bad really. May be we book them on the next tour. Like 1,000 people at a London club.

It is very simple. A show cost 4 mill euro. That is their tab fare. If 1,000 people are coming that is 4,000 euro per person. Or at Brixton Academy only 1,000 euro because it can hold 3,900 people. Whatever you like. It's all down to 50% business and 50% pleasure, give or take some percent here and there.

I paid 10 canadian dollars for my Toronto Phoenix club show ticket and that is approx 6 euro so I am not sure if it is worth it, paying 100 times that for a private show, but we will see. You know a club show doesn't come that easy anyway. It just look that way. You have to sleep in the street. Suffer a bit. But then it is all worth it eventually.

This is true i slept in the street's of Barcelona for 2 night's and was going to go home but got talked out of it and made it to MADRID FRont row pretty center it was worth it! If we could pull 1,000 for everyone some how i think that would be fair and everyone had some what good seats, and the band agreed to some of the context of the gig.

We could even change out seat's half way through the gig like a rotation so everyone can get close!

Good luck to whoever's going to try and persuade me to move from the front row to halfway back while the show's in progress! I recommend a loaded pistol!
