Let me first say that this set list was pretty solid.Like I posted earlier,I'm glad to see songs like Can't You Hear Me Knocking,It's All Over Now,and Waiting On A Friend return.I'm also looking foward to hearing their version of I'll Go Crazy.

However,I can't help wondering how they fail to take into account past set lists in (for this particular case) Werchter. In "According To The Rolling Stones",I believe they say that Leavell looks back to see what has already been played in given cities to avoid repeating non warhorses.Well,I could do a better job or anyone who is willing to spend 5 minutes of their time for that matter.Cases in point are :

A) Rocks Off - see Werchter '95
All Down The Line would have been more appropriate.

cool smiley Heartbreaker - see Werchter '95 both concerts
Quite a few songs they play and rehearse would have been new to Werchter.Examples are Bitch,She Was Hot,ABB songs,Love Is Strong,She's So Cold etc..

C) Wanna Hold You - see Werchter '98 both shows
Why not Connection?

D) Slipping Away - See Werchter '95 AND Werchter '03
Why not You Got The Silver,(long odds) Coming Down Again,or All About You?

E) It's All Over Now - See Werchter '95 both nights
They could have done any one of a large # of songs in this slot that would not have been repeats there.I am glad to see this one back though, this might not have been the best time for it.

They should find someone to take this responsibility off of Leavell's shoulders because,he's not quite getting the job done.

Better late than never...
Nope, not a review this late, had more fun reading the last 20 pages since I got back.
Just a few pics.
The result was worse than ever. Front row B-stage, Keith side, with the light in your face. Most cameras can cope with it, not a mobile.
Had a hell of a back problem that morning. So I went for the front row at B-Stage since I knew it was hopeless at the FOS area. And I needed something to lean against. Should have seen the reaction of the girl when I gave away the wrist band to the FOS area.
Guess this discussion is dead and I shouldn't add it but Keith was a bit lost. First time when he couldn't get up after doing that deep guitar playing and fell back.
2nd time was the best. He is getting his guitar for next song and ask for a pick. Then he realise he got it between his teeth. Laughed out and joked about it
Who cares, opening night, loved it all, he is just lousy to cover his mistakes...
Hmm, ended up as a review.
Few ones from B stage, lousy mobile quality.

I like it a lot. It sounds like they played it very low key. To me it sounds as if it could've come right off Stripped.
