Cheap Trick - tonight

They were most excellent! Band in good form and all smiles ala 2015 Zip Code Stones. Good setlist too! Very high energy and the most interaction I have ever seen between Robin, Ric, Tom, and audience. Lots of smiles and joking around betweeen songs. Loud but super clear sound. Highlights were "70's Song", "Baby Loves To Rock", and, of course, "Surrender". Highly recommended.

Yes, that is Dobie Gray's "The In Crowd" - on CT's new album.

Hello There
Hot Love
Big Eyes
California Man
On Top of the World
Ain't That a Shame
She's Tight
In Crowd
When I Wake Up Tomorrow
Waitin' for the Man
Baby Loves to Rock
That 70s Song
The Flame
I Want You to Want Me
Dream Police
Surrender
Goodnight

Is anyone watching the Disney 2016 Radio Music Award show on TV tonight?
Do you realize Corporation has taken over the human race?
Go out and live people.

ETA: sorry, I watched the entire 2 hr. Disney award show last night: I have a adorable 9 yr old sunshine girl who can talk me into just about anything, last child and I just go with it a lot.
I think my earlier post may have been a cry for help, however.

Yes, my friend, the whole world has gone slap ass crazy! Especially the "music" business. Luckily, there is great live music everywhere.

Jethro Tull's Martin Barre at Callahan's Bar and Grill in Auburn Hills, Michigan. It's not until September but I figured I'd better get the tickets now 'cause the place is tiny.

This is a mighty week for me. Had to take a week of vacation to make it work! Sunday night I am seeing the Who in Seattle. Wednesday, flying to Vegas & will probably go to Purple Reign (Prince tribute). There are other options but this is how I'm leaning right now. Next Thursday is the big one for me, the 1 viable favorite band I've never seen. The bucketlist show. After 25+ years of trying I'm finally seeing the Cure. They are playing a 3000 seat venue in Vegas & I scored front row of the balcony. As I can't stand for shows anymore, a perfect seat. Looks like they are doing 3 hour shows, with the setlists changing every night. & they are debuting 2 new songs. To cap it off, one of my favorite guitar players is in the band now. Reeves Gabrels. I saw him several times with Bowie & was blown away. I'm quite excited for this one! On Friday, I'm trying to decide between Santana @ House of Blues, the Scorpions @ the Hard Rock & "Love" by Cirque du Soleil. I've seen "Love" before & was amazed. I had a so so seat that time & I'm being offered an excellent seat for half price. Going to decide in next few days. Fly home Saturday night to collapse & recover before returning to work on Monday. Whew!>grinning smiley<

Went to see Bryan Adams in Ziggo Dome Amsterdam last tuesday.
Saw him once before in the 80s, but lost him out of sight after he started writing
soundtracks for blockbuster movies.

I must say it was a great show this week in Amsterdam. Him and his lead guitar pal
Keith Scott were very visibly having a lot of fun on stage, playing both hits and new songs.
Show lasted over 2 hours and 20 minutes or something, and setlist of over 30 songs.
Just a five piece band, Rock 'n Roll at its best.
And about 7 songs Bryan solo, with just an accoustic guitar.

The guy sure knows how to write songs and to perform them with a lot of energy.
I can recommend him, if you're looking for an escape from reality and a night of fun.

Just as long as the guitar plays, let it steal your heart away
