I'm ashamed to say so, but I don't have that DVD set. I've got boot-DVDs, ordered from far away places, but didn't buy the DVD-set they had in my local store...(overpriced up here)

Grab it Erik....usually find it cheapo Amazon or somewhere
Has plenty of good stuff....Plenty of Anita and as mentioned the Dust
Brothers stuff about Bridges sessions is a funny insight into the Stones camp...

what is the connection between the stones and the dust (now chemical) brothers?

The Dust Bros (John King and Mike Simpson)
produced 3 tracks on Bridges To Babylon and
are American whereas the Chemical Bros ( Tony Rowlands & Ed Simmons) are from the UK.....

It seems like a really cool story. It'd make for a good movie (if they got it just right and had everyone's blessing and it was kind of an indie).

I think I recall that Keith wasn't too happy with the Dust Brothers work.

I have another question about the clip. Anita talks about someone and says "he was our tail" and "he followed us around for years and never paid his bills". I can't make out who she's talking about. Is it Gram Parsons? Spanish Tony?

The "All Down the Line" bootleg sounds great in the background!

Great clips -- thanks! The one with Andy Johns was awesome -- maybe the best commentary I've heard on the Nellcote period. He seems like a great guy too.

"it was keith's gig"...obviously.

But the fact that they created most of the basic tracks in a fungal,
moisture-suffused, dank mediterranean basement, usually at 2:00am, with people wandering in and out in various stages of heroin and other controlled substance hazes, while 3-year olds are being "put to bed" at 1:00am...all the insanity powered by stolen electricity tapped into much like some favella-dweller would in sao paulo, is testament to the fact that <a> this couldn't happen again if
you tried it 1 million times over because it was actually a perfect prescription for career-ruining excess, and <b> only supremely confident and talented 20-somethings would even think of winging something this shambolically.

And that is why it is one of the 3 most important rock albums of all time.

I also could not make out who Anita was referring to about "never paid the bill". I could see her saying something like this about Jagger. But that would not fit in with "following our trail". I thought Spanish Tony too.

"...no longer shall you trudge 'cross my peaceful mind."

She's talking about Stash as you can hear the interviewer telling her that he had spoken to him earlier. Stash's real name is Prince Stanislaus Kosloswki de Rola and he hung with Keith and Anita for years. In fact, he was at Redlands during the infamous bust.

I dont think he was actually, or if he was thats really bad luck because he got busted with Brian in May.

May 10th - South Kensington, London: Brian Jones and Prince Stanislaus Klossowski are arrested at Jones' flat and charged with drug possession.

Right, but I seem to recall him being at Redlands as well. Regardless, it is definately Stash who Anita is talking about not paying his bills
