My guilty pleasure...James Taylor - Shower the People...served with a cup of tea. Thinking I should move on next to REM - Shiny, Happy People.

What can I say, it's a nice night here. smiling smiley

Nothing guilty about listening to JT. I know one of his backup singers pretty well and was invited to a rehearsal once at a theater in LA. They did such a beautiful version of Shower the People that when they finished I was just standing there weeping uncontrollably. I'll never forget JT looking over at me and saying "thanks, I guess we're OK with that one?". No shit, ya think so? ...just beautiful.

Here are a couple mellow ones from Counting Crows I've always liked: good tremelo

Emotional Rescue. The song and the album.

The sunshine bores the daylights out of me.

Johnny Moeller (The Fabulous Thunderbirds) & Paul Size both worked with MJ as part of the Red Devils. This link is to Johnny's album, (with Paul) "Return of The Funky Worm". My band is adding their version of Billy Preston's "Right Now" but I'm digging the whole album. Funky, stripped down, Texas Blues & Rootsy Rock & Roll. Good Stuff!

Enjoy!

The soundtrack cd from the spagghetti western Companeros by Ennio Morricone. The title song is crazy, but exellent!

Hmmm...I'd say the Isley Bros singing It's Your Thing but it just ended. Sammy Davis Jr doing I'm Alway Chasing Rainbows accompanied by Laurindo Almeida is now on. Beautiful stuff. If you can find the album online with these two go for it. And now the Wilbury's doing End of the Line. It's a ride....

Bobby Blue Bland's version of "In The Ghetto". The album pictured is well worth finding for a nice selection of the late Mister Bland.

dmay, hey man thanks for thinking about me, checked out your links, however I'm not too into country, and 2015 has me deeply encroached in my RS obsession again
(it's been a trip)

Found a great vid of 2006 'Worried About You' probably seen by all here, but just in case or in the mood:
