A radio concert of the Corrs at Wembley, downloaded from Dime. I haven't seen the Corrs since they toured with the Stones in 99. Love that band wish they'd come back to the states.

a few days ago i posted i was listening to quiet riot the randy rhodes years. i can't believe no one said what is that the same randy from ozzy's band that died in 1982. to answer questions if anyone had them, in the late 70's two friends, rhodes and singer kevin dubrow formed a hard rock band called quiet riot. the were a big draw in california even out selling van halen for club attendance one year. no record deal came but a label in japan signed them. after releasing 2 albums in japan rhodes heard ozzy from sabbath was lookin to form a solo band. he auditioned and got the job. eager to tour ozzy listened to the first 2 quiet riot albums and some demos and sent rhodes and lyric writer bob daisley to construct new songs out of the songs rhodes already wrote. almost every riff from blizzard of ozz and diary of a madman by ozzy can be heard in old quiet riot demos and the first 2 japan only albums including crazy train, goodbye to romance and i don't know. meanwhile in california dubrow formed a self named band that had him and carlos cavazo and a drummer that singer glenn hughes introduced to kevin named frankie banali. hughes of deep purple fame loved kevins voice and he used banali on the newly recorded hughes/thrall project. after rhodes died in the plane crash bass player rudy sarzo left ozzy's band and went back to quiet riot were he had been a member from '78 to '79, he left with rhodes to join ozzy. dubrow got signed but the label asked for a new name and dubrow offered up old band name quiet riot and they loved it. they recorded a 10 song album. after the producer heard it he said they didn't have a hit single try this slade song. the band hated it so they recorded the most hammed up version they could of cum on feel the noize. the label loved it and dropped the tune danger zone for it. after it was a hit the label asked for a quick follow up and against the bands will gave them another slade song, mama weer all crazee now. dubrow wrote party all night which he thought was a hit just to keep the cover off of the album. record label put the slade song on anyways and it started a media outlashing by dubrow of the record label, the producer and the new l.a. bands being signed only because of quiet riots success and not hard work. the final straw was when the label made dubrow write songs for the third album that featured heavily keyboards to keep up with the new sound of rock, like bon jovi, instead of the old hard rock they played. this ended quiet riots carrer and as dubrow got into drugs and slandered the label more bandmates fired him and hired david coverdale clone paul shortino in hopes to save their carrer. the slade covers in no way reflect the rest of the bands great hard rocking songs like metal heatlth, run for cover, breathless, scream and shout, bay boys, born to rock, red alert and put up or shut up.
