It's great of course, but lacking in a couple things...
1st, it's significantly better if you add the 3 japan bonus tracks (sweet virginia, slipping away, Spider & Fly)
And 2nd, since we have the dvds/blu-rays (and most probably have them ripped to audio), it is far better to hear the entire shows! Especially Paradiso.
If you have to pick & choose, then I guess they did a pretty good job with what was included.

Mixed emotions.
Pros - Great performance.
Cons - Too predictable and straightforward. Old 'original' Stripped was biased with 'unplugged' concept. This one is a kind of regular 'live' album.
We got 6 warhorses, a couple of rarities and semi-unplugged section in the middle. Mind MR and MY 'eat' almost 19 minutes of the album time and they were re-issued live multiple times in the past. IMHO, this new album is 'Live Licks' shrink to 1CD. Live souvenir from club gigs of 1995 tour. But not impressive in the terms of set list. The original concept is lost for good.
It would be great if they add a few more rare tracks or something from rehearsals.

I'd tend to agree with most of that.
The original Stripped stood out a something a bit different.
The new one is just another good but pretty much routine live album.
I'n not too impressws with the production either.
It lacks the clarity of the original Stripped and doesn't reveal the small room atmosphere in quite the same way.

Indeed. It sounds a bit like a good soundboard bootleg.
On the dvds that works – mainly because it gives a live feel to it.
A comparison of the two SFMs says it all, imo.

Did anyone noticed the "distortion" on the vinyl version of Faraway Eyes when Ronnie starts to play the slide guitar? Not on the cd.. only sounds like this on vinyl.
It's the same version of SFM from the Paradiso though, correct? The one on Totally Stripped is unedited...it has a few extra bars that were cut from the Stripped version for time constraints I'm guessing.Quote

Yes, it is.
The punch in the Stripped mix is gone, and Chuck is playing his heart out (something that's subtly mixed on the Stripped version)

Let me amend my thoughts on its inclusion on the CD:Quote

I really have never liked MISS YOU live . For some reason I think this cd version is pretty killer. The bonus cd from Japan is stellar but short.

The vinyl is a bit underwhelming. Missing a lot of great stuff from the original release with a pretty safe set list. I don't notice any distortion on the vinyl with Faraway Eyes though.

I don't hear that much difference in the two SFM's. The newer version sounds more mid range. But I am listening on computer speakers
Mix is different for sure.Quote
