I like those crazy German compilations as I grew up with them. But this one is really hard. At least I prefer the reprint by NOVA with the stage-cover from '73 and BJ on the rear.

This release is as weird as "Big Hits Vol. 3" - which is a straight copy of "Let It Bleed" or "Satisfaction" - a copy of the US "OOOH" omitting one song.

Some of these «deep cut-compilations» have a nice collection of songs. This is one of them.

Isn't this pic right outside of 102 Edith Grove? A 1973 pic isn't a very good fit for a Brian era album, imo smiling smiley

This pic was taken in Vienna at the Gloriette, Schönbrunn smiling smiley

PS: it's hard to notice but Keith is having a "Danke"-sticker from the Austrian red-cross collection on his jacket (down on the right-hand side).

I really like some of those German compilations, found a cassette and played it over and over. Some songs I was not that familiar with back in the day. It was sort of like the More Hot Rocks release.

Because it's a complilation with no thought at all about it.
Random tracks of different quality and certainly no "great hits" on it at all.
Looks like the tracks chosen are because of cheap royality-rate.

What are your thoughts on this compilation?

Odd! Mixed 1964 with 1967. Good songs anyway for them that needed them back in -69...

It is indeed mainly a deep cuts-compilation.

3 songs from BTB '67
3 songs from AMath '66
Side two

BTB/Aftermath/EPs/First album.

Not a logical collection, but lots of very good songs just the same, imo.

Very few hits, though smiling smiley
