Still much better than the dreaded cover they came up with it. To me, it is the worst Stones cover ever even including DIRTY WORK

I never liked Dirty Work as much as I tried to convince myself that I should. I always did like the cover though. What was not to like? Just a casual candid photograph of my favorite band hanging out together.

That photo screams 80s.

Does 'Sucking in the 70s' mean
a) this album compiles our best tracks of the 70s.
b) we did a lot of sexual things, wink, wink, in the 70s.
c) We did a lot of coke in the 70s.
d) We were a terrible band.

Wait, what? Is that a legit interpretation? I've always tried to figure out an interpretation that didn't mean terrible music, terrible band -- kind of like the compilation "The Worst of Jefferson Airplane."

Wasn't "Sucking in the seventies" a very punky thing to say back in 1980 or whenever it was released? Maybe it was even meant to be a poke at all the punks who saw them as old farts and proclaimed "no Stones in -78" and such?

It really does seem they had a different cover lined up and then were forced to ditch it, ala beggar's banquet.... Maybe there is some truth to the rumor

The world album cover is dirty work. It's been proven by leading experts
