CHANHASSEN, Minn. (AP) — Pop superstar Prince, widely acclaimed as one of the most inventive and influential musicians of his era with hits including "Little Red Corvette," ''Let's Go Crazy" and "When Doves Cry," was found dead at his home on Thursday in suburban Minneapolis, according to his publicist. He was 57.

His publicist, Yvette Noel-Schure, told The Associated Press that the music icon died at his home in Chanhassen. No details were immediately released.

A reporter from local TV station KSTP, Farrah Fazal, tweeted this afternoon: "BREAKING: Deputies say they are now doing "death investigation" at Prince's PaisleyPark recording studios near Minneapolis. @KSTP."

It is not yet known whether it is a man or woman who has died."

A quick search has led me to believe that there has been a death reported at Prince's Paisley Park Studios and police are investigating. However, the official reports state that they won't announce the identity of the deceased until "notifications have been made".

I just went to the tmz site [www.tmz.com] and it states that "Someone has died at Prince's estate in Minnesota".

Still, prayers for those involved probably aren't a bad idea.
