It's sublime with the red sneakers..

Do you think it's customed made?

This one is different

This one is obviously customed, but vintage... When was he wearing that? Certainly many years after BtB tour

Yes, Wood's certainly had some interesting guitar straps over the years.

Perhaps the most curious of which is the one featuring his wife's name in block capitals.

.....

Olly.

Yes 2 twin brothers here in Birmingham, AL, Ed and Fred have been making the leather goods for the Stones and others for years, pretty sure they made this one for Ronnie...

I met Fred and Ed in Memphis' Peabody Hotel at 3am after the April, 1999 show. Really nice guys - they kept us enthralled with stories about designing the guitar straps for Keith and Ronnie.

I wish I could remember the stories now.

I think it was on Licks that a newspaper or magazine did an article on Ed and Fred. Quite interesting.

I think it was on Licks in Vegas that I met Keith's elevator serviceman for his Connecticut home. Patti had given him tickets for the concert. He described the elevator in great detail for us - red leather seating and mirrors. I could never quite decide if he was putting us on about the elevator decor. In the end - I decided I liked the idea of Keith having a mirrored elevator with red leather banquette seating.
