Great news, but I be very disappointed if we don't get a complete Paradiso show!

Someone who worked on the release ensured me ALL FOUR club-shows will be part of the "Stripped 20th" Bluray...

Hurrah! >grinning smiley<

(My own 0,01 cent speculation : to get the whole "4-meals" enchilada you might have to buy an expensive/entensive package, though...)
Somebody emailed me with the info that the single DVD will be Paradiso and the Deluxe edition will be all four shows, out on April 6th!

Same here. I wouldn't mind having two or three cuts from the Toshiba sessions "spilled" over the 90min docu. A video of "No Expectations"... thumbs up

I wonder if "deluxe" means book, poster, watch, laminate, etc. for a "deluxe" price (as glimmertwin1 stated). And then of course the "super deluxe" bonus track Japanese editions. Great, welcome, news though! Now where is "Sticky Fingers Live"?

Edit: glimmertwin1 beat me to the deluxe speculation.

Well, I am not too keen listening to bum notes, missed cues and out of tune vocals on official releases, so whatever they do to clean up some rough spots will be perfectly fine with me.

The time is not right for a 20th Anniversary Edition YET, looks like we have to wait a bit for this one.

Waking up to this news is such thrill. I feel like a kid on Christmas morning. Can wait to blow hard earned money on this one. The 95 club shows were some of the best the Stones ever did.

As someone who isn't that fond of the Post Wyman Stones, can someone explain the significance of these particular gigs? Were they acoustic, or just in small clubs, so they're more intimate? I remember listening to Stripped years ago, and it was so-so.

Small clubs, great setlists with an acoustic section and great performances.

It's great to get Stripped video in high quality. Even though it was aired on TV in the modern age, there hasn't been a perfect release of the show on black market DVD.

Bonus material too!!!!

Thanks for all of the news.

I'll admit that the idea of this doesn't really excite me as much as the earlier releases, but I was pleasantly surprised by Leeds '82. The only post Wyman release I'm looking forward to is No Security.

I've heard that the San Jose '99 No Security show is up next after Stripped then a deluxe edition of Paris '76 in '17.

Maybe there's confusion in the reports and "four shows" is actually 4 discs. 2 blu ray and 2 cds? Or 1 bluray (a complete show + bonus tracks from another show + documentary) and 2 cds?

We recently got a few soundboards. Olympia and Brixton (not Pardisio right)? I thought since they were working on a Stripped project and this stuff leaked out that they were using it.

Also, someone was trading some of the Toshiba sessions (Let It Bleed) so I expect more from there too.

I saw the a recording of Paradisio once in perfect quality. It was awesome. I remember even J J Flash was great which it takes a lot to excite me about one of the old war horses I've heard live many times.

Connection... with Mick singing it togethter with Keith. Only the first show in Paradiso. I was there inside Paradiso! hot smiley

At the second Paradiso show Keith did Connection alone.

edit: This is from my memory now in 2016. Maybe I am wrong, just like people said Mick sang Little T&A together with Keith in Leeds 1982. Let's wait and see the DVD.
Also I have a vague memory of Keith playing an acoustic lap guitar during Still A Fool (second show).

I saw this second show live with some 30.000 people (? Police said 80.000, I got the newspaper review in front of me now) on a screen at "Het Museumplein" behind "Het Rijksmuseum" in Amsterdam.

Great memories. Everybody at the time thought, because it was profesionally filmed it would be released quick. Well it is 21 years ago....

Hope I don't have to wait another 21 years before THE FONDA THEATRE 2015 get's an official release. That will be 2036...alive and well I will/would be 72.

Oh only 72...just as young as Mick and Keith are NOW.

This is from the great Rocks Off site:

The Rolling Stones-Stripped 20th Anniversary Edition...there's a 2DVD version with both Paradiso shows and a Deluxe Edition with the Brixton and Olympia shows and also a 90 minute documentary in both packages...I've heard the release date will be April 6th!
