Jumping Jack Flash, and Live With Me, are mind-blowing on this release, better than on GYYYO.

The audio quality is also fantastic for being such an old recording.

-

Very bland versions of Street Fighting Man and Dead Flowers,
Keefs monotonic soloing on Bitch is a bit too much for me.

Now you can hear it - see above (thank you, kleerie – thank you, the Rolling Stones!)

I prefer the Roundhouse version of Live With Me, but this one is indeed very good, too.

JJF is good as well.

I think you talk about the version of superdeluxe "sticky fingers" because the bootlegs version are available since "la nuit des temps"

This is a much better live album than Get Yer Ya Ya´s Out. Many of their greatest songs in superb live versions, I love it.

Listen to this and from this time on you´ll pick up GYYO only to dust it off from time to time. What a fantastic live recording!

Why are so many great live albums recorded in Leeds?

The Who Live At Leeds
The Rolling Stones Live At Leeds University
John Martyn Live At Leeds

Alas, I live in Germany and that means that I can't hear it as well as we can't hear or see here so many other vids.
It's all blocked here by GEMA. It's a real shame.
Well, I don't want to say more about these people.

Thanks for posting direct link, my iTunes Sticky Deluxe is a cluster mess.
In fact, the link got me outside to listen to it, nice and orderly.
Made it thru MR, rest of it and again it'll get me out more over weekend.
RS music has been my personal trainer this year.

What can be said, cream of the crop group, and era. Creme de la creme. (That's your actual French, mon plaisir, Mr. Richards.)
Live with Me probably best I've ever heard it,
same with Love in Vain, recorded studio version I find a bit depressing,
but this one here is good ol blues to me/ not depress in the slightest, gorgeous.
MR I must not listen to enough, because it still impresses me with genius when I hear it. Mick gets a bit carried away vocally on this one, but his harp, can't help but admire his skills every time he blows.

This is just more proof that the 69-71 incarnation of the stones on the road was the best.

No offense but...have you had your ears checked lately?

PS: Sorry, I thought you were referring to the recent Sticky Fingers Live 2015 release. Agreed, Leeds 71 does rival Ya-yas.

The concert is great but it's a shame it wasn't released seperately. It's kind of funny to see that two of the greatest Stones live performances are only available through expensive box sets (the other one is Brussels of course)...

Leeds and Brussels are available thru iTunes. I know for you audiophiles that may not work, worked for me as a quick fix for it. Course now I want the Leeds CD...

The deluxe sticky box is all on spotify. For about 10 bucks a month i have every stones release in my pocket as well as almost every album in the rock universe except the Beatles. I should be a salesman for spotify I am obsessed with it .

I don't think Brussels is on iTunes. Leeds is on iTunes but also on Pono or Qobuz in CD quality.

I completely agree that this should have a stand alone CD release.
I made a CD-R and made a cover to go with it.

Any live release from 1969 - 1973 soundboard, professionally mixed will always be in the top few Stones (and other bands) live releases...because they were so good live during this period.

I find JJF here a little out of tune.

This show is nowhere near the perfection of ya ya's..plus doesnt have the electric/atmosphere of the 1969 tour.
Its still a great show...

If the Stones ever release Essen 1970 in this format then you will find a true rival to ya ya's !!!

MT with no limits. Genuine Stones without any overdubs. The guitar phrasings on Stray Cat Blues are wonderful. Love In Vain - one of the best versions I know. Interesting that they changed the arrangement of Satisfaction. Let It Rock in this version could be the anthem of the band. The vocals of MJ are top and prove that he is the Rhythm and Blues singer par excellence. Compared to Roundhouse the sound quality isn't the best. Thus I'm wondering why they didn't release the soundwise (and artistically even) better Roundhouse completely, too.
