Boring song. Nonsensical lyrics. They sounded better when they were stealing Stones and ACDC riffs.

The Cult is a great band live. Met Ian and Billy a few years ago and they were great guys!

Great band indeed, but Ian is often the weak link live. In the studio he's probably one of the best singers in the world, imo.

I saw them when "She Sells Sanctuary" (good song) came out. Ian was goose stepping around in pseudo nazi gear. Not good. Still like some of their records.

This is absolutely true.

Although on the ELECTRIC 13 tour he was the most solid I've ever heard him. He was also pretty good on the BIT tour in 2007.

Wild Flower wasn't originally an AC/DC rip off. That happened because George Drakoulias suggested it to Billy when they re-recorded it and he went with it.

Love Removal Machine... eh, I get why people say it "sounds like" Start Me Up but it doesn't. At all.

Dirty Little Rockstar, on the other hand, is heavily influenced by the riff in Undercover Of The Night.

So those three songs are when they sounded better. Well that's rather expansive now isn't it.

One show into the tour so far. The Cult are not playing any new songs. I think they're waiting until 2016 to play the new tunes since the new LP doesn't come out until early February.

It's not like they have a DIRTY WORK kind of album...

They must've done extra soundcheck practicing it because Primal Scream totally got the shaft sound-wise. Scream's performance was really good but some of it got lost in a bad mix. Most of the time the sound is fine at the venue, as it was originally designed & owned by Soundgarden's former sound man. Not being a big fan of the Cult & having seen them a few times before, I left after Primal Scream's set. PS: back of tshirt they were selling indicated that both bands are playing Coachella.

Loved The Cukt since mid 80ies,,still do,to me they don´t have completely bad album, they all have great moments, allways liked their lyrics.
New song sounded great to me,will ofcourse grow on me,but as usual there are going to be better songs on the album...in a way The Cult is bit like
Faith No More
Disneyland after dark

who all were left behind Metallica,Guns&Roses and Nirvana during 1989-1992.

I don´t care at all metallica and guns&roses,Nirvana is ok to hear from the radio.

How many of you still remembers Disneyland after dark? Danish rock band?

The Cult are bigger than DAD, but of course I remember DAD smiling smiley

The mysticism within The Cult's sound is unique, though. They're not really a hard rock band, although they chose that route in the late 80s and (unfortunately, imo) from 2000 and on..

The only money on the tour they'll make is Coachella.

Saw them back in about 2000 in a small club with about 500. General admit so got right square front and center. Blown away watching Ian and Billy with the opening band members (can't recall the name for the life of me) standing right next to me and my other, soaking it all in with me. Of course I had to fill them in as far as the Cult's history. Grrrrreat show!

The music sounds good but the lyrics are cheesy as hell. Seems more like pandering to millennials.

Deeply Ordered Chaos sounds fantastic! I liked Hinterland as well. I have high expectations for this album now thumbs up
