Good grief what has the world come to?
It's been desecrated beyond comprehension...

Are you a fan of the Rolling Stones?
I've been a fan of theirs. I wasn't a fan to know every song of theirs,
but I definitely have been a fan of the Rolling Stones, but it's just so cool when a moment like this comes along.

In other words, she doesn't know much about the Stones other than hearing Start Me Up at sporting events.

She does have a fairly nice voice though.

Different interpretation of the Stones Paint it Black.
Pretty cool version of a classic song.

I think she's in the running for the How Many Times Can You Say Cool In An Interview trophy.

Impressive cover........love when they not just copied the song but give it their own swing to it.......could be a hit

You're actually too nice here. That was a disaster. Let's just hope Mick doesn't hear it and get some "new" ideas for the next Stones record. grinning smiley

What does "I've been a fan of theirs" even mean? She's speaking of them in the past tense like she might not even know they're still around. Or at the least she was a fan and then quit being a fan. wtf?

That being said, WTF is Ciara?

An American R&B and Hip-Hop artist. She has been releasing music for over a decade to much success. I actually have an album of hers lying around somewhere. She's not entirely my thing, but some of her is work is quite okay. Her rendition of Paint It, Black, is fresh and original. She incorporates the moodiness of the Stones' original into the genre she represents with much success.

She's got the moodiness and tension down, but not the fervid, urgent, wild abandon. I'd give her a B.

She makes it an entirely different toon, and for that and the fact that it sounds great I'd move her up the ranks.

In fact, I think I'd put it up there with one of the best stones covers I've heard.
