If you go back to the 4cd Queen of Soul that Rhino issued, there's nothing post Sparkle.

Who is 2015 'Lady of Soul'? Beyonce that have her 34th birthday today or Mary J?

Post-77 Aretha is generally atrocious, and her Columbia years, when they tried to make her a refined jazz-pop singer in the style of Diana Washington bore me to tears.
I sell those records, but nowhere near as regularly as her classic Atlantic albums.
Aretha, like Smokey Robinson, is an artist I would like to see get paired with a producer who can convince them to try to record a classic sounding record again before she dies. She keeps trying to make contemporary sounding records and falling flat. Without Jerry Wexler and Tom Dowd around, this may be tough, but someone who can resurrect her majesty, like Rick Rubin did with Johnny Cash and Jack White did with Loretta Lynn.

I have become somewhat of an Aretha Franklin fanatic over the past year-or-so. Having collected all her available Atlantic release - plus the Essential Columbia years - I now wish to turn my attention to those mid-to-late 70's Atlantic albums that are either completely unavailable on compact disc, or received a very limited release in some select European markets. I'm talking 'You', 'Sweet Pashions', etc. Can any fellow fans help or point me to where I can obtain the releases? Their elusiveness is a head-scratcher, considering the queen of souls continuing popularity and relevance.

Right now there's a live stream of Aretha singing at the World Meeting of Families in Philadelphia: [tidal.com]
