A cryptic clue to a line or phrase from a Stones song:

Whilst looking for phytoplankton, a transformation occurred beneath me for the final time.

Which lyric am I?

"Doo Doo Doo Doo Doo Doo Doo"

(from "Heartbreaker")

this is actually supposed to sound like a whale, hunting for plankton

Olly that hint is cryptic indeed. Phytoplankton? wtf?

Perhaps another clue would be helpful.

What can I say, Naturalust?

It's time to get your thinking cap on
And do your homework on phytoplankton.

In my defence, I'm doing a lot of tedious travelling of late and need a frivolous distraction.

A weekly feature, perhaps.

Well I've got a feeling even Mick would have a hard time with this one.

All I can think of with the searching for phytoplankton is whales and knowing Olly's love of latter days Stones I'm guessing it's not an older tune.

That's about as far as I'm willing to go on this one without more clues. Good luck guys.....

Hmp. In that case, I feel obligated to point out that your subordinate clause appears to be dangling.

Olly it doesn't count as a Stones song if it was recorded after Wyman left... are we on the same page?

Of course not.

This lyric could be either pre or post 1993.
