The Fonda gig was as great as any "great archival show", so I wish they would release it as soon as possible, tomorrow would be fine. We have enough "coked-drunken-powdered" shows so far, let us have a sober one with excellent playing and singing!

+1
If there is one thing I'm certain of, it is that Fonda will be released in all possible ways

So is there not going to be an official press release for this either ?
It's amazing...as incredibly talented as Darryl is, he's absolutely been a non-factor in their sound since joining the band. I've ONLY seen the Stones live with him (first show as 1997) and, solid though he is, I've never heard him play anything that just pops out in your face the way Bill did so effortlessly.Quote

Personally I am not interested in the post-Wyman live stuff, so I will be quite happy with Tokyo 1990 and Leeds 1982.
Post-Wyman-Tours have more interesting setlists than 1981/82, 1978 & 1989/90. And there´s a new kid on the block, he really can play the bass! (Even Mick says "Sometimes I wish I could play the bass like Darryl"
...And: Keith and Darryl often stand close together, smiling at each other while playing. Never happened with Bill.
A 1994/95-release would be very welcome. Good setlists and strong performances.
Keith and Darryl can make out on stage for all the memorable bass work it's provided the Stones since 1994. It seems familiarity breeds mediocrity.

But Bill's bass lines always seemed to cut through the guitar frequencies no matter how heavy and distorted they were.Quote

Bill wasn't exactly known for playing stuff that popped in your face either. However, something happened when Ronnie joined the band and the guitar department loosened up. All of a sudden (1978-1982 in particular), Bill's awesome playing came through more evidently, imo.
