Browsed through this at Walmart, earlier today. Nice issue, but nothing we don't already know.

Sorry if this is old news.

Were you not tempted to purchase the magazine from what you saw of it?

.....

Olly.

I'll pick a copy up for sure. At the time, I was waiting for my girl and Walmart was a madhpuse. I couldn't wait to get out of there.

There were a couple pics that I don't think I've seen before. One was Keith cutting Charlie's hair and an overhead shot of Keith and Marlon in a hotel room.

But what I read, while flippin' through, was the same old stuff.

I bought it because I couldn't resist, basically. No, nothing new, but then not everybody's seen everything, and there were a couple of photos I didn't remember seeing before, and the same with a couple of interviews. Nicely produced.

Is the knife included with the mag in honor of Keef?

I wonder if we will ever see the likes of the 1971 Robert Greenfield interview again (or Wenners Lennon Remembers) for that matter.
Just PR stuff these days.
RS was worth getting in those days... I still have their paperback Interview publications from the early 70s.....excellent reads.

I got it. It's nice to have at least what they put in it all in one place.

I am floored, however, that How Can I Stop didn't make the 20 Greatest Keith Songs but Wanna Hold You did.

Tom Waits' poem to Keith is almost worth the price, if just for these lines (bold-lettered word in original):

Closing stanza:

"Keith once took my 10,000 dollar overcoat
To put down across a mud puddle
To allow an octogenarian laundress
Named Clementine Moorehouse to cross the street
Comfortably
That's Keith always the gentleman."

I bought it too, love the cover shot, nice to see Keith looking a little healthier and more engaged. Added it to my collection.

I bought it too with no expectations of anything new. But at least the 2 back pages have that great 2010 (I believe) Kevin Masur shots of Keith and his Guitar. Very rock and roll and worth the price alone to have it in nice quality.

Yeah, what's that knife doing there?
