The Cult: Sonic Temple...Beyond Good & Evil...Bob Rock's other works of art.

And The Cult as well as Choice Of Weapon, which is outstanding. BG&E is their weakest LP.

Rock Or Bust...

AC/DC have confirmed the release of 17th studio album Rock Or Bust on December 1 – and they’ve revealed mainman Malcolm Young won’t return to the band.

As one of my favorite all time bands I wonder...

...Is Malcolm still going to be responsible for the tour setlist in absentia?
(I think he is even more conservative than Jagger when it comes to setlists.)

...and if Angus takes over that job, would there be any different flavor to what we hear live? (Like bringing back Sin City and/or Girls Got Rhythm)

Black Ice is pretty good. Not as good as Stiff Upper Lip but definitely better than Ballbreaker and The Razors Edge.

thumbs up I completely agree that an updated setlist would be amazing and that if it were going to happen this might be the time.

Unfortunately I don’t think two of my favorites, Rocker and Rock ‘n’ Roll Singer will make the list.smiling smiley

Teaser :

‘Rock or Bust,’ the highly anticipated new studio album from AC/DC, will be released December 2, 2014. Featuring 11 new tracks and recorded in Spring 2014 at Warehouse Studio in Vancouver, BC, 'Rock or Bust' finds AC/DC once again working with producer Brendan O’Brien and mixer Mike Fraser.

“Rock or Bust” is the first AC/DC album in the band’s 41 year history without founding member Malcolm Young on the recordings. Earlier this year AC/DC released a statement explaining that due to illness, Malcolm would be taking a break from the band. Unfortunately, due to the nature of Malcolm’s condition, he will not be returning to the band. AC/DC will undertake a world tour in support of ‘Rock or Bust’ in 2015. Stevie Young, nephew of founding members Angus and Malcolm Young, plays rhythm guitar on 'Rock or Bust' and will accompany the band on tour.

Starting September 27, Turner Sports will provide fans a sneak peek of the new track ‘Play Ball’ as part of the 2014 Major League Baseball Postseason campaign. Check back here for more.

Sad news that Malc Young won't be playing with them again but true to form, they keep on going. Looking forward to hearing the new tracks and maybe get some tour tickets.

Was headlined on the radio network news bulletin at 3pm NZL Time / 4am UK time that Malcolm has called stumps on his illustrious career, darn shame, greatest metronome like player in rock, I mean to stand there almost motionless for 40yrs watching your kid brother behave like a kid brother and provide a soundtrack of consistent driving rock, I salute you Malcolm Young

Unlikely, given the nature of his illness.

Anyone heard Phil Rudd's "Head Job?" Thoughts? Trying to find it on vinyl. Can't wait for "Rock or Bust!" For me, it's been a hell of a year in music!

Not bad, but is the same concept / rythm every time - same with Rock'Roll Train.

Very sad. He is being treated for dementia

Is dementia at that young age treatable or curable at all?

Very sad...

"Although Young worked extensively on AC/DC's latest studio record, the group made it clear that he would not be touring or recording with them in the future".

But Malcolm didn't play on their latest record - Stevie did...

Play Ball sounds very safe. At least Rock'N'Roll Train had some balls to it!
