If the (cd) wasn't so over compressed, I'd give it a ten. I mean come Keith, we're not all listening to this stuff on our iPhone's.

um... yes i am.

As are most consumers these days...which accounts for all the modern over-compressed production standards that many of us are fond of moaning about.

You only listen to music when you sit at home? Do you not work out, or take long walks, or sit in office waiting rooms, or wait for your kid to get out of practice?

Yes, there's an invention called mp3 player (or by popular brand, ipod), some use it to listen to when its not convenient to listen at home ... it's not a requirement, you can walk and 'think' but other times, you might want to walk and 'listen'.

First Anniversary of Release of "Crosseyed Heart" coming up
Posted by: Turner68 ()

Has anyone started making plans for celebrating this? Listening parties? Tribute bands?

The album has truly stood up to the test of time, every track is very strong.

Last year was a great year to be a Stones fan!

Still like it a lot, could have done without Something for Nothing & Irene, but a great record. Hope the Stones can do as well.

I'm still celebrating the official release from Sept. 18, 2015 - it's the greatness Stones related release in many years.
Still hoping for a Deluxe edition with demos, outtakes, remixes, extended versions, etc.

Very enjoyable. My favourite Stones solo 'effort'.
Did it manage to exceed 300,000 units world wide?
The documentary film was excellent..hope the forthcoming one on Bill is as good.

Still wonderful for me; just a great album with infectious rock'n'roll and some sublime balladry. Soul, funk, rock'n'roll goodness!

Oh yeah, still in my car (holds 6 CD's)
1st anniversary
Last year was the best Stones year in my life!
BILL PERKS 'Something For Nothing'
is a '10'!
But 'Nothing On Me' rounded out as my true favorite.
Best F off I'm done peacefully tho but goodbye I'm clean
You Got Nothin' On Me
Woulda truly loved a 'Crosseyed Heart' autograph of some sort.

Still my favourite Keith album.

The best Stones (related) release since Tattoo you imo.

Suspicious and Illusion are top of the heap priceless gems.
And the room shaker Blues in the Morning - such a great old school Stonesy rocker.
And Robbed Blind, and so on and so on....it's all great - put 'em all together and you have an essential listening experience.

I don't recall reading this review from the L.A. Times, but it sums it all up nicely.
Crosseyed Heart

Looking forward to the new Stones album - hopefully its as good as this, but the bar has been raised pretty high with Crosseyed Heart.

Not my favorite record, but I will say there are a few good songs on it.

Actually there is only 1 song (only 1!) I don't care for/ skip right over,
that's 'Amnesia' too soon, or I'm not tough enough. Certainly not rich enough, c'mon baby,
oops, but ran thru 'Nothin' On Me' for the anniversary, a music writer compared the riffs here to 'Beast of Burden' and I'll say, same exquisite guitar playing.

There are a lot of very good songs on it, but it is my least favorite of his three efforts. Likely because this one felt like a compilation of tracks rather than an album. Still, it was a very pleasant surprise and some of it shocked me that Keith had it in him. I would still love to hear more from the 2000 and 2001 sessions Rob Fraboni produced and Ben Elliot engineered with George Receli on drums. The two tracks we have from Studio L are absolutely amazing.

Favorites one year on would be "Robbed Blind," "Lover's Plea" (at one point the brass is identical to Keith's version of "You Win Again"), and "Nothing On Me."

And yeah, Terry, one listen to "Something Else" from the Japanese telecast in 1993 is just stunning.
