Interesting how Townsend wanted to quit but never sent the letter.

BBC4 is my favourite station man, they put on some great themed music nights which me and my mates all gather round and get ripped to. Last weeks Oo night was good, the highlight for me being the new quadrophenia doc.

Looking forward to this Friday. Heavy Metal Night \m/

Lynd thanks so much for the tip of about it being on Hungercity. I just finished watching it is phenomenal! Wonderfully enlightening, and quite touching.

The saddest part for me was towards the end when Pete read out a letter he had written in 1973.......don't want to spoil it for those who haven't seen the programme yet......but if you have seen it it you'll know the part I mean.

Yes that part was incredibly intense! He had tears in his eyes as well. But also that flippant Townshend humor when he realizes how dramatic he is being was so refreshing. What a cool guy, he would be fun as hell to hang out with and listen to his stories. He is history.

Oh, please. Pete's always finished with the Who. Until he's not. If he had quit in '73, we would have seen the first of many, many reunions by '75.
