Some posters are so brilliant on occasion it takes my breath away.

Any potential writers here regarding the Stones, music topics or subjects NOT allied with music?

well, I've already written one book...it's reached the point where you can get it on Amazon for less than the cost of shipping and handling! I think that has some significance...

And YES, I do have a long-term book project in mind, that I'm planning to announce and write, in pieces and over time, on my blog. It should be of interest to the people here, though I haven't fully conceptualized it yet. The idea would be to write, over a couple years, a number of blog entries on this one topic, however unrelated and non-sequential they may be...and at some point bring them all together into a whole. Emphasize: Long-Term - but I am serious about it.

I think you'll like the title of this experiment, though:

THE CHARLIE WATTS PROJECT

I'm about two thirds of my way through writing a novel - a thriller based within the music industry. It's my first one so hard going at the moment. Previously have specialised n short stories with some national success.

I would love to write a book, but at times lack the confidence and motivation. But I have a fertile immagination and would love to write a fantasy or Sci Fi novel.

If I ever get a job that pays reasonable money and I buy a computer then yes, I will.

I've done 29 jobs for 45 companies in the last 9 years and my friends tell me I should write that.

When I was younger, in the early 90ies, I started a book (in french) because I had a story in mind.
I stopped writing it pretty quickly, and I don't think I could restart it. Times have changed, the technologies also and what I had written would need an update before continuing.

Still I think it could have been a good action movie scenario ;o)

Yes indeed. I have one started but it was difficult to keep up the momentum. So, I've put it aside for now. However, when inspiration strikes again I'll be back at it.

I've written three novels and am now writing the fourth. The first is available on Kindle and also in paperback on Amazon. Writers don't talk about writing future books, writers write books.

C'mon 24FPS You've got some readers here dying for material, I get the feeling I'd like what you wrote. I'm guessing music production but I may be wrong.....Give us a link if you can. If not I understand, this may not be the place to push it like some have done in the past, even chose their name here to hype it, that lack a bit of class imho unless specifically asked. I am asking in your case. peace

I wrote a couple of those. Even lied to get one into Bruce Willis' hands some years back. When I returned to fiction I found my style had become more visual and more readily transferable to the screen. Of course I'm still starving. But if the lightning bolt of opportunity ever occurs....

... since you ask: i've got a few books and articles in circulation
(none of them are about music, but i did insist on a picture of Keith to illustrate one of them)

I started a book too, got the first two paragraphs done, stared at them for a while and realized that they were pretty good lyrics, so I added the music and called it another song.

I write lots of songs, probably average 2 /month for the last 15 years. Some of them are stories, I always liked the way the best songwriters could make a good story fit into a song. But most of mine are just feelings and snapshots of images that fit well into the structure of the tune. Most all are auto-biographical, how else can you genuinely transmit feelings with words?

My Dad told me once that story songs are great, but only for ONE listen. After that you know the story and it just doesn't cut it to relisten. I LOVE to listen to a song a hundred times over in short succession if I like it, so I'm not hung up on story songs.

I can write on demand pretty well too so if any of you'all need a song and have an idea for me to run with I can do it! I have done music and foley for films and if ya can't do it as quick as the film plays in fornt of you, you don't last 5 minutes. I prefer more mellow less pressured enviroments but the word on songs for me is ANYTIME, ANYPLACE. ANYWHERE, ANY KEY, ANY STYLE , ANYTHING WITH STRINGS. ...a regular song slut I am. peace

with ssoul, you've got such a great gift for words that I feel certain anything you write is worthwhile. Glad you used an illustration of KR for one of your books -- he definitely transcends music. One of the few people in so-called pop culture who does.
