Well, it's so OBVIOUS those are police truncheons on LET'S SPEND THE NIGHT TOGETHER. Why does Johns feel the need to point it out? Does he think we're stupid?! Jeeze.

Glyn Johns is to be respected for many reasons.

First guy to be awed by Bill Wyman?

And also that he was a dedicated engineer who loved music and was a pleasure to be around.

That vintage console that Sir Paul and Glyn are leaning on....wonder where it is these days? ...

The production gear sure started getting complex after this period of 8 and 16 track studios. Now a typical music studio has a desk which mixes 96 tracks or more. Twice that many for film studios...I liked the simpler approach in those glory days of Rock and Roll......peace
