Would it not it be great if jagger would sing:

Sweet little 16
jump on top of me
so young
CS blues
brown sugar
mannish boy
i got my mojo working

I dont think he has the guts, but if he would do it, i would like him again

jeroen

you're goofy. this is about the blues, this is not about mick or the stones.
mick will be a knight in shining armor.

Yeah??? Mannish Boy,I got my Mojo working are not blues songs?????????????????
You are goofy if you dont know this.
The other songs are blues-orientated.

Boy, you got a lot to learn

youre goofier than goofy. this show has very little to do with mick.
this show is about the blues and black history month. booker t will
pick the songs accordingly, and mick will do what is asked of him.

Oh no! Epatage at his age is SO pathetic.

(The word “épatage” has French origin. It is formed from the verb épater – to overwhelm, to bring a surprise. Epatage is defiantly scandalous, shocking, outrageous, behavior that violates generally accepted social and cultural norms. The sole purpose of epatage is self-advertisement and self-presentation. Consequently the “must” elements of epatge are publicity, watchers and the most important: epatage have to provoke subsequent discussion.Epatage: the shortest way to popularity)

I hope Mick would be Mick, and you can continue to dislike him as you want

maybe with sssoul will wander through and tell us. :-)

smile: is this how a genie feels when summoned? :E
that series is indeed from the start of the ABB tour, as proudmary noted, and as far as i know Steven Klein took 'em.
Mark Seliger took a bunch of the 2005 promo shots as well, but those "melancholy" portraits seem to be Klein's fine work

Yes, hi, with ssoul, and thank you. smileys with beer
Steven Klein, okay, did he also take Mick in front of the brick wall, sounds familiar?
I will look up Mark Seliger too.

What do you mean by " old respect" for Mick? And NO, I believe that the President obviously likes Mick or why would he want him at the White House to begin with, BY INVITATION ONLY??? What does " head casing" mean? Instead of picking apart my post you should perhaps edit your own.

Why balanced????I think Jagger has too much ego. keef has also, thats true After my first encouter with the stones in 1973, my heart goes out for ronnie,Keef and charlie. Its my opinion, and my balance.
I think i am entitled to my opinion, right?? did not like Jagger at the Grammys, or what was it, when he did the solomon burke tribute.

Great photo, reminds me that some folks have to check to see where brain center is located these days...and it may be one person's opinion that Mick is a " pain", but for a great many of us, he is not the reason for " trouble in paradise", and no, I won't be recounting the whole tiresome tale....just sayin...

thanks Rockman.

that would be so freaking cool. might even be allowed by the white house people,
since only ike and truman are mentioned.

Rockman, you got some more suggestions? not necessarily about the white house.
but considering the musicians playing, and the purpose to honor the history
of the blues.

i'd love "bourgeois blues" and "police dog blues" but i don't think the
white house would allow it.

or "how can a poor man stand such times and live?"

(suddenly, seems a bit of a shame that ry cooder didn't get the honor
of an invite as well. and no female vocalist included, seems odd. coulda
shoulda had bonnie raitt. but i guess there's understandably a limit on
how many white faces should be there. it really is an incredible honor for
mick and jeff beck.)

OK I did not read the whole thread so if someone already said this I apologies. I would love it - Opening - Jagger and Keith on Acoustic doing Prodigal Son. Followed later by Little Red Roster or Time is On my Side. Wow.

As far as I'm concerned it's a shame that it will only be Mick solo, after all it was the Rolling Stones as a whole who made the blues palatable to young white America in the 60s, not Mick all by himself. I realize that it wouldn't be feasible to bring the whole band together to rehearse for one performance of maybe one or two songs but Keith should also be up on that stage as Mick's partner in crime. Remember, he hobnobs with Presidents every bit as much as Mick does these days, I doubt very much he would have turned down the invitation.

Lose your dreams and you will lose your mind...
