Pass.

At this point there is absolutely nothing new I can learn about the Rolling Stones and certainly not enough to justify the purchase of another $40 coffee table book.

I'm pretty sure most people on this site would agree.
I agree. Don't see what new nuggets we can learn that we haven't already and teh picture can't be that much better than what's on the Some Kind of Stones Connections thread on here.

I'll bet that was the deluxe SG box.

What could possibly be new in it? Pictures, baby, lot's of pics YOU have never seen before. But you will have to wait until July 12, unless you can get your hands on an advance copy.smiling smiley

Few days ago I saw this book in bookstore in Belgrade (King Petars street). I was interesting how it costs. And it's about 4.200 dinars (about 40 EUR.). I think thats to much expencive.
All book is in pictures, format is great, but some pictures are good, some are very average.
...bu I find it on Amazon...

Are there any photos of the various permutations of the 'Rollin' Stones' between July 2012 and Bill's arrival in December of 1962? Strange that I don't remember ever seeing one. It seems like the group didn't start being photographed until then.

It just seems odd that there was six months of gigging with various other Rolling Stones and yet there are no photos I've ever been aware of. And even if that one photo exists from the 1st Marquee gig, why just Keith and Brian?

... because the person taking the shots wasn't positioned well on the tiny stage to get shots of the others? i don't know!
there's more than one shot, by the way; there might have been a bunch more that just aren't very good, or that no one saved.
HM recently posted one that includes Mick at what looks like the same time/place (or very close): [www.iorr.org]

This one is from ALO's new book "Rolling Stoned" which claims it was taken at the Crawdaddy Club.
