Looking at some of these shots makes me think Bill might just have tripped with his mates a few times during these sessions. If not willingly I can only imagine that Keith or Brian couldn't resist the urge to dose him (however cruel that is).

Los Angeles (Nov. 28, 2023) - Rare and long-lost photos, contact sheets & original negatives of music legends including Paul and Linda McCartney, John Lennon, Joan Baez, The Supremes, The Carpenters, The Rolling Stones, Jimmy Cliff and more are up for auction.
Bidding is open on the Heritage Auction sale, which features a treasure-trove of rare and some previously unseen images of music legends including Creedence Clearwater Revival, Donovan, Marianne Faithful, Tim Buckley and others shot by renowned music photographer and photojournalist Shepard Sherbell. Some of the items include the original negatives.
Photos of The Rolling Stones that Sherbell captured at Olympic Studios in London during the band’s recording sessions for their landmark 1967 album, Their Satanic Majesties Request, are also up for auction. Several striking photos of Carpenters’ Karen and Richard Carpenter during their European tour in 1971 are also available, including gelatin silver 12” x 16” prints, contact sheets and negatives.
The auction closes Dec. 10, 2023. All items come with a certificate of authenticity (COA) from Heritage Auctions.
