This photo is from 1976. It was a promo photo for the European tour for black and blue

Many of the images (photos) used in 1978 were actually taken in 1977. Since these images are associated with 1978 Some Girls, I thought it would be approperate to put 1977 & 1978 together.

Yes first for me as well. The last photo looks like a Lego diorama.

Nice! Before they went on in Boulder, there was a huge thunder & lightning storm. Very dramatic.

...with the purple on his sleeves (images added/edited in after your post). Yeah! That's the shot that said to me, "Hey here's a great rare photo, start a '78 thread!"

I found it while searching "Rolling Stones Folsom Field" and "Rolling Stones Boulder" trying to get Philly, LA and Boulder done for the 1981-1982 thread to go along with the US magazine spread.

Earlier I couldn't find pics from Atlanta 1981 so I searched the photographer "George Rose Atlanta" and found are friends under the Cockroaches guise. I though that I should publish them since I thought they were rare. I really didn't want to start a 1978 thread!

Glad everyone is enjoying them.

It's so sickening that the 1978 Tour was kept under such wraps with regards to video and photographs...

I have no idea what they were thinking...

Besides the Texas show and the Anaheim pictures...one would think the tour didn't exist.

I know you will all post pictures of different shows...but the point is...
that the 1978 tour of the U.S. is the most hard to find pictures and videos.

It was the best of tours. It was the worst of tours.

So sad...the band was on fire and determined.

And we got one show out it...The Texas show...But it was awesome!

I remember thinking they were so old then, and that I just HAD to see them on this tour "before it's too late." I was nineteen at the time. Now, of course, I can't believe how young they look in these photos. My 32-year-old son is actually older than Ronnie was in '78.
