I know this probably belongs in the Beatles v Stones, but...

This is so cool. Check out the young Mick and Keith and other music folks. Wish the Stones did some stuff like this, maybe bits from the rock and roll circus guests intercut with images from the time. Enjoy.

This must be part of the up-coming DVD release "1". I totally agree, wish The Stones would make a collection of HD promo videos. That would kick ass!

It is totally cool, and yes it was already posted in the Beatles v Stones thread.
But it's SO cool, perhaps it deserves a thread of it's own? cool smiley

According to Mashable, it is a restored version of an original video that
"features the band recording the song in January and February 1967, with a large orchestra of about 40 classically trained musicians
who apparently struggled at first to understand the song's concepts...The video was filmed between 8 p.m. and 1 a.m. and includes some rocker cameos, like Mick Jagger and Keith Richards."

I love seeing Mike Nesmith hanging out with the Beatles.

A few years ago, Nesmith was asked about this session. He said the only thing he remembers is Marianne Faithfull. He said "Oh, so THIS is what the fuss is all about," and that she was "the rock and roll mama of all time." Well, he is a Texan. He spent most of his London visit at Lennon's home in Weybridge.
