Great pictures! I love Oprah's expression, just like a regular fan.

Thanks, bye bye johnny.

I recall the first time Oprah interviewed Beatle Paul. She absolutely went to pieces, big tears etc. And now...she's met Mick. What more can a fan ask for?

Looks like schmoozapalooza. I will admit when I met Keith it was a little like Wayne's World. Stammering & I'm not worthy. The great man put me at ease by complimenting my shirt.spinning smiley sticking its tongue out

A busman's holiday. Grazer is Mick's co-producer on the upcoming James Brown film.

And 'Crossfire Hurricane' is up for a few Emmys, so Mick will likely be at the awards ceremony.

During the actual Emmy show, wasn't wild about Carrie Underwood singing ...'half the man I used to be' during her rendition of Beatles' Yesterday. Did enjoy Elton's performance in his blue sequins! grinning smiley

Starstruck! Oprah Winfrey is very overexcited as she takes a selfie with Mick Jagger for her Instagram page

The Queen of Talk met Sir Mick Jagger for the first time at the weekend and wasted no time in getting her picture taken with him.
Oprah was clearly very excited to meet the Rolling Stone star as evidenced by her wide eyed open mouthed gaze as she pointed at the camera for the shot with a happy looking Jagger.
She captioned the shot, 'My first time meeting Mick Jagger! And yes he dances like Mick Jagger!'

The stars were both guests at music mogul Jimmy Iovine's pre-Emmy party which was also rumoured to be a celebration of his girlfriend Liberty Ross's birthday.

The party thrown by the 60-year-old founder of Interscope records certainly attracted several A-list stars aside from Oprah with Diddy, Kanye West and his girlfriend Kim Kardashian also in attendance.

The Butler star posted a picture of herself sandwiched in between rap stars Diddy and Kanye with the threesome all sporting wide grins and looking to be enjoying the party.

She also posted a picture of her best pal Gayle King enjoying a boogie with Sir Mick.

******* So Mick flew into LA for this party and some other matters, business matters I suppose

Kim Kardashian + Kanye West + Diddy + Gail King + Mick Jagger! (What's Wrong Here)?

Mick's going Hollywood bigtime; he's going 'Kardashian'; he's going rap? The end is in sight. Is a reality show on the horizon - "Mick and the Jaggers"? eye rolling smiley

(Yes, I know........this will get lost/merged with the LA trip thread)!

But it's so absurd I felt it 'needed' its own thread.......for now.

Why is this absurd? Is Mick not allowed to have a social life? Are these photos offensive to you? Not sure how you're getting the impression from this site that Jagger is going "Kardashian" or that he's going to rap. What an odd post from you.

I guess now that the words "rap" and "Kanye West" have been mentioned again, mickscarey will show up in this thread to tell us all how crap rap is. Well, to counter that, I will say that Late Registration is a fantastic album by Kanye.

Of course he's allowed to have a social life. At this stage of the game, nothing is offensive to me! Nothing......

I love being "odd".grinning smiley It sure beats being run-of-the-mill.

I suppose I'm finding that MJ is slowly by slowly (when not touring) removing himself from the rock and roll crowd. And it seems as though that's what he wants to do.

So.........God Spede Mick Jagger in his pursuits.

*Look up "Spede" if you think I've spelled it incorrectly. This is the original spelling with the original meaning.*

The field of 'Reality TV'! I think the definition of 'showbiz' has changed a little over the years... for the worst.

Just wondering how Oprah can be 'taking a selfie' if she has one arm around Mick and the other pointing at the camera?!

'Crossfire Hurricane' didn't win any Emmys.

Too bad, now I'm glad I didn't stay up late for the show. I did think Elton acquitted himself well, the jacket was a great nod to Liberace. The song...meh.

I really don't like how little time is given to the award winners, especially if the person isn't a well known actor. Instead, we get treated to inane comedy skits, like an intervention for the host addicted. The only thing that's unscripted and occasionally interesting in these shows is the remarks by the winners.

At the Stones' first Anaheim show in April, Mick said, "Los Angeles and Orange County seem quite similar, except that Orange County seems to have more dogs."

Drive down the freeway and see some of those dogs, Mick!

Every Emmy show, I fixed the grammar, etc., treacle. It was early and I hadn't had coffee yet. In fact, I think I just need an IV for my coffee today, so be nice to me please. sad smiley

I manage to avoid the Emmy's every year for those reasons. I guess all the awards shows are pretty much the same although they've had a couple of good Grammy's shows in the past coupla years.

What I hate about the Emmys, the Grammys, and the Oscars, is the death memorial. Yes, it's nice that they are paying tribute to ones that have passed away, but it's all just a popularity contest. You can hear the audience clapping softly for the ones they don't know and loudly for the ones that were famous. Absolutely ridiculous. Why not either clap hard for all or not at all? Some gaffer in the business for 50 years died? Who cares. I won't clap. Oh, a famous face died? OH THE HUMANITY! Let's all clap hard!
