That's what I thought too..............

I first thought like you
rmk = remake
But now it appears to me that it could be remark as the act of noticing or paying attention ...
Just a second thought winking smiley

According to the up-loader on You tube it means Robin Mary Klein (most likely)

Oh, looks like you'll have to go to the site itself to get the written info which is underneath the picture......

Ah, you found an old thread, thanks!

I think that is correct. From the older thread, the 2 most likely answers are:

remake is what first came in to my mind when I saw it on the london years box set, but why include the k?

Someone did come up with a cool explanation, I think involving the studying of the elements or something like that.

That's right but I don't remember who wrote that:

Child of the Moon is jagger's stoned/trippy
perception of the face in the moon being
not a man but rather a beautiful young woman.
This personification of nature was also the
theme of She's a Rainbow, and like that song,
Child must be at least partially understood as
a Beatles homage/parody. In the lyrics, there
is constant reference to the sky and weather.
Besides the moon, the wind, sun, rain, fog,
stars, and mist are all specifically mentioned.
RMK is the standard abbreviation for remarks
on meterological observation tables, again
pointing to this song being jagger's drugged
and poetic observations about the beauty
of one particular night. In keeping with the
Beatles-parody aspect of the song, Mick uses
his fruitiest voice at the outset to say, "Land
sake's alive, Charles, I have to go pay my taxes
(in my coach?)", another jab at the supposedly
revolutionary beatles and their doing so decidedly
patrician a song as "taxman", a track that like
"child" features a droning melody line and prominent
echoey rhythm guitar. (Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds
being the other obvious reference point)

Not this thread again! If every song they "remade" before releasing had "rmk" after the title there would be hundreds of songs with the initials in the title. I was told by a person who worked on the "25 X 5" project that the reason the initials are there is because Allen Klein's daughter Robin (RMK) was born under the astrological sign of Cancer - or a "child of the moon" around the time of the song's release. Her father had her intials put on the 45 rpm record (it was the b-side of "Jumping Jack Flash" single and released in May, 1968 - even though Brian Jones thought it should be the A-side) as some sort of strange tribute to her...

... but I think I'm going w/ Klein's daughter's initials.

"Child of the Moon" is a remake, as it was attempted during the Satanic Majesties sessions. but i doubt that it's the meaning unless it was written that way on the session tape box and then accidentally labeled as the song's title.

well every song - just about - is a remake as they all were attempted on various sessions -- but as stated above, it seems likely that it was the initials of Klein's daughter.
