30 last seconds that close albums [outros] - what are the best?

1 Beggars Banquet w/ "Salt Of the Earth"
2 Let It Bleed w/ YCAGWYW

those two are probably the greatest ever.
piano outro on SOTE... oh my, oh my... the sound Chuck would never achieve.
clever, simple, rocking... smiling smiley

and drums on YCAGWYW... they roam and roam, band plays and choir sings their hearts out...
and the last 30 seconds - go figure now - the drums grow louder and it feels like it's unstopable.
I love this moment smiling smiley

Not sure if it's the right title or not but on Amazon's listing of Dirty Work it's listed as: 11. "Key To The Highway" 0:33. The tribute to Stu.

Peace,
Mr DJA

I love all the different guitars going off at the end of Crazy Mama.
Thats a great last 30 seconds.

Is that Keith or Ronnie doing those up and down runs?
I know Keith was also on Bass...

Great ending

That's been discussed before. Everyone seems to agree that based on similar stuff he was doing at the time, it has to be Ronnie. (although he's uncredited)

Fingerprint File, probably.
But I'm not sure - do compilations and live albums count?

Agreed, especially when heard while driving alone on a country road at three in the morning.

Reading all the choices makes me say: the Stones know how to send you off on a high note everytime. as far back as "December's Children" and "I'm Movin On" ending that album with a diesel train of slide, harmonica a drums.
Salt of the Earth and YCAGWYW both tap into the gospel vein.
Moonlight Mile and Fingerprint File on quiet notes, although in different feels.
@#$%&, Crazy Mama and Soul Survivor rave-ups.
Shattered was great too. As was waiting on a Friend.

All About You started those low Keith endings. I guess All About You was still good, but then we got like 5-6 albums with Keith ballads as last tune.
Worst ending: "It Must be Hell". And "Handsome Molly" haha..

Cosmic Christmas. Just joking.

Always loved the weird out of sync double tracking of Keith's voice right at the end of All About You. Was it a mistake? Whatever, it works really well.

Im more into the intros.in that short time ya know this is it..any secord now The Stones are going to walk out on stage and it can have a bit of mystery to it..ya thinking is Mick going to hit the ground running or rise up through the stage on a elevated section or something. And everyones been waiting for this moment the crowds all pumped up and good vibes all around..it always makes for a good night out at a Stones concert.

SFTD on "Love You Live", the last Keithian riff, and the three closing drumbeats afterwards ...

Anyway Moonlight Mile.

I've always loved the fadeout on Rocks Off. When that little Mick Taylor solo goes off. Always wondered if there's more of that on some tape. But it would also spoil the magic to find out.

100 Years Ago ain't bad either, and I think Winter has a nice coda.

In the end, Moonlight Mile is hard to beat.

EDIT: Ooops, it was only closing of ALBUMS, not songs. Sorry.
Well, I think Mean Disposition on Voodoo Lounge is kinda cool, actually.
But I'll still vote for Moonlight Mile.

The last 30 seconds of Sticky Fingers/Moonlight Mile are very very beautiful, wonderfully tasteful and emotional end to a very good album. thumbs up

I can't stand Soul Survivor, as a song or as an end to Exile. >grinning smiley<
