I bumped into this on timeisonourside under B.B. King

"In 1997, the Stones as a band took time off from recording Bridges to Babylon to record a duet with B. B. King called Paying the Cost to Be the Boss, which appeared on King's Deuces Wild album of that year. This was only the second time the Stones played on an artist's record as a band"

Just as a matter of curiosity: when was the other time that the Stones played as a band on someone's elses record?

Mick and Daryl only.

Mick sang the the lead on the song Long Black Veil, but the album ends with The Rocky Road to Dublin "with The Rolling Stones," a really loose sounding jam that sort of falls apart halfway through, and even jams a bit on the Satisfaction riff. Would they say "w/ Stones" if it was just Mick and Daryl?

No offense Tate, but I was referring to the SONG Long Black Veil. Of course the entire band played on The Rocky Road to Dublin. That was established earlier in the thread! Mick and Daryl only on L.B.V. Cheers!
