Why attack members in the forum? Remember the famous moment with MJ and KR at the HOF Awards show?

Well some of us happen to think this a pretty cool thing and are looking forward to it. So yawn somewhere else.

I'm there for the second of the two shows though I haven't a clue what to expect.

Anything from the sublime to the ridiculous, I guess.

it's very rude and impolite to tell somebody to yawn someplace else .i dont tell you what to do you get my drift. i do not LIKE jann wenner and this thing called the rock and roll hall of fame .good premise but to political as in how much fanny kissing do you have to do to jann (boring) wenner and lets not forget how much you have to grease him ,bribe him or whatever else the cost is .like i said good idea in theory but so political ,that not necessarlly the best groups or artist get in .cmon you gotta admit sometimes ya gotta scratch your head and say what the heck is so and so doing getting inducted in to jann wenner private club.

Don't really care about the RRHOF itself. Yes it's a Jann Wenner wet dream. But I do care about a bunch of good musicians getting together and jamming. Whatever the reason.

it off your hands, though it's anyone's guess how the shows
will go.)

HOF is always exciting because of its unpredictability.

What I don't get is when everybody and their mother and small brother get up there and jam at the end.

Theres about 3 drummers each playing a slightly different tempo
9 guitar players all trying to find the key
13 singers who only know the one verse they repeatedly sing
a completely unmiked horn section
4 bassists that are unaware of each others presence
and Paul Schaffer.

Yeeesh

Can't imagine anything that (realistically) might happen that would make me wish I had been there. Unless there's some sort of Yardbirds thing. Clapton-Beck. Clapton-Page. Beck-Page. Clapton-Beck-Page.

Yeah, Jann's a creep...always has been.
But if you love music, sounds like these shows will spotlight great talent.
No reason to yawn at someone else's anticipation and pleasure.

Yeah sounds like a hell of a lineup. Best wishes to Eric and his gall stones. John Fogerty and Tom Morello with Bruce. Could get a nice version of he Ghost of Tom Joad. Or a really great Rocking all Over the World. Or an uninspired Who'll Stop the Rain. Or even worse,a group Proud Mary. The possibilities are endless.eye popping smiley

i don't think any of the actual stones are gonna jam but they are constantly making moves without telling me jackshit.

i am DYING to see Dion. the Grand Elegant Rhythm-rockin' blues roarin' doo-woppin' Dion Dimucci....

that's THE Trip for me with these shows...i cain't be there for none of them...
hope that the D man is featured...he's still in good voice...he's a giant. i'm really excited about this...hope he's featured good and prominent on one of the shows...he is as prominently displayed on the adverts as everyone else...hopin...
please man, if you are there, and Dion performs at that one...please give beely some crumbs of news and observation...would be so very honestly grateful. ty.

Seriously...any song guesses? Probably a cover.
It would be interesting if they tried to duet...Sympathy For the Devil.

Probably won't do a Stones or U2 song. Maybe Chuck Berry cover.

I heard Bono was nervous singing with the Stones at the Aragon...at least at this show, Keith won't be on stage to give him the [most evil] evil eye after he flubs the song!
