love it; & imo vl is filled with great little delights like this

Love this track. So sleazy and greasy and raunchy, yet tongue-in-cheek. Mick's vocals are perfect. And that brass arrangement, as Greenblues said, is amazing; those horns sound like they should be arrested for committing lewd behavior in public. Such an erotically-charged sound, and yet mournful and sad too. Brilliant.

musically good but lyrics are UNCLEVER & CLICHE'. *(IMO)

Another example of Mick writing lyrics while being driven to the studio...probably.
I think there was a clip (maybe Being Mick?) showing him writing
this way....Love Is Strong too. Disappointing. Lack of effort really shows
sometimes.

I listened to this song for the first time in a while today and thought the lyrics work excellently.

The song is what it is, an archetype in many respects.

The lyrical content fits very well with that of many of the artists that inspired the Stones.

Not every lyric can be inspired by a censored Soviet satirical text...
