>>What is the little red one to the right of it?<<
It's a Zinky Master Blaster.

What do you think of the Voodoo Lab Sparkle Drive?<<
I haven't had the chance to check out any Fulltone devices in person yet.
well since you have a Fulltone 2 - you tell me
I've only read good stuff about 'em and Ron uses them also.

Keith plays through two twins in the studios. One clean and on breaking up. What does he use on stage? Does anybody know or have pictures of his touring pedals?
It seems pretty clear he uses a lot of Fulltone products. Is he using Fulltone overdrive? This picture shows his Tube Tape Echo pedal. What is the little red one to the right of it?
I have my Tele wired up nicely with the PAF in the neck and vintage Tele in the bridge. It goes through a blackface 66 Super Reverb and a Vibroverb. Now I'm trying to figure out which overdrive Mr KR relys on. Thanks.

I think Keith sound at the El MO 77 using that Mark 1 Boogie is the best KR sound ever... would love to know that set up in detail.

A February 1977 Boogie Mk 1 (serial number A804) with reverb and EQ, Altec Lansing 417-8H alnico speaker. The amp is recorded directly with a Neumann mic approx. 4 inches right of the center of the cone. For sound on stage he slaved the amp through a Ampeg V4 top with 2*12 cabinet, but this amp does not seem to be miked.
Find Keith's Boogie here:

I have the exact Boogie, made in February 1977 with serial A808, so mine and Keith's, Ron's and Mick's Boogies all were probably from the same batch. Mine is black tolex though. To date still the finest amp ever made.

So Mathijs you agree this setup was Keith bread and butter... How long did he used the boogie for?

What's fascinating about this thread is that Keith's history of guitar setups and rigs are so diverse since 1962. So many different amps, always searching ... I imagine what ever he brings to the studio is probably a whole guitar store.
I don't know if Keith ever used a Marshall stack... did he?

You nail it:Keith Richards,so many different amps, always searching ..the best amp doesn't exist..it's a matter of taste .No amp is perfect, and Keith prooves it!!

With the exception of the tube screamer pictured on the B-stage I don't know of an instance where Keith has used an overdrive effect onstage.
Personally, I miss the Ampegs. When they stopped using them, the band lost the roar they'd had.
