Review by Erik Engholm

Just got back from my third Oakland show. It was raining horribly before and during the Pearl Jam set. And then it stopped for the Stones! Just great, even though everyone was already soaked anyway. Floor seats midfield this night. Mick and Ronnie wore hats because of the weather. Later, the Ronnie Wood hairdo was completely ruined by the wind. Now I don't have time for a long review. I have a plane flight to catch, going home to Sweden today and missing today's show :(

The set list:

Well I have to say I'm quite proud of the boy's...they're true professionals, but more than that they're enjoying playing music together...rain or shine.

Last night's show was good except for some wind gusts which chopped up the sound a bit here and there. The coolest thing was how the pouring rain stopped 10 minutes before the Stones went on and started 5 minutes after they came off. Mick said we had mystic powers. When Keith came out for his songs he looked up at the sky as if addressing God and said, "I knew we had a deal." They have lucked out because none of the three shows here in Oakland have had any rain.

The set list was standard..."Star, Star" was very impressive.they should add that to the main set. "Miss You" was excellent. I was right near the small stage which after seeing them for three nights is my favorite part of the concert. They are so close together and simply rock up there. Keith went all out. "19th Nervous" and "Let's spend night together" sound really good too.

Off to Vegas!

It is raining like hell! I really do not like the first band, Beurk!!!

And the show-intro is coming and it stops raining. Satisfaction is always well played, so great! What is cool is that the Stones are moving more than ever because to keep warm, it is so cold.

Tonight they all happy and smily. It is only rock and roll let spend are very fast and the public is singing and moving a lot to. Flip the switch is also one of my favorite, the public listen to it Anybody seen my baby is like they are still looking for what to put in it. It is a mixture of anarchy, experience (if I try this, hum hum and now what about that, ok now like this....), and timing (they finish it together). That is why I love when they play that song because I know they can do the worst as weel as great stuff, they always make me laugh so much here!!

Gimme shelter is awesome with Lisa, the guitars, the bass, the drum, and miki, this song as a lot in it, I can see they master it. Saint of me is a good song. Out of control is an other high of the show and miki as a real plaisure to sing it. 19 nervous breakdound is a super live song.

Roni is a great singer on Star Star. In Miss you, this time Bernard does not hide under the keyboard, Keith Roni and him stand just near the drum, they have a cool discussion while Lisa, Daryl and Charlie entertain the public. At the end Keith and Daryl are having a hard riff, plus the Roni's solo, whaououououou! Bernard tell us your troubles?!

Charlie as the maximum ovation. For the bad girl! All about you is very good, so good this time that Keith finish the song singing in the harms of Bernard and Lisa, he is like the king of rock and his servants are doing a real great job. Wanna hold you is the hard riff and Keith is happy, this is another high of the show.

They are coming to the center stage, we are just two seats near the Daryl side. Daryl saw my wife, he looked amaysed , that is because my wife may be the only Black of the crowd. Usually the blacks are on the stage with the Stones, not on the main field. My wife is happy. During the last time, a lady near us was showing her boops to much to Keith while he was singing, then he looked surprised and enjoyed it and while he was singing the last time he told her 'Bitch' on the microphone!

The lady become more crazy, and Keith drop her a mediator. This is crazy , Daryl saw her and he laugh to much about it!!! The center stage is another high of the show maybe the best part!! Sympath for the Devil is going on with Honk tonk woman, Start me up , Jack the Flash!! They all super everybody sing dance, miki say that we are the best public of the 3 days. Keith riff real hard . Roni has a big skiing jacket like that he is warm and that is funny. Brown Sugar so good so fast .

The best night of all, they are the best band ever in the world again and for ever! In fact all the songs are good, super and powerfull and magic. Keith and Roni are the best singer ever and I love when they sing they should sing more!

The BEST SHOW EVER. THE LAST FREE ROCK BAND ON EARTH. THE LAST PIONIER OF MUSIC , AND ROCK LIFE. VIVE THE STONES! DO ANOTHER CD!!!!!!! The show is finish and guess what ?!?! It start to rain hard again. Keith told us they had a deal with it!
