Mick Jagger: From London to L.A.

London Tuesday Feb. 4, 1997: The FA Cup soccer match Wimbledon vs. Manchester United, played at Selhurst Park, London, is broadcasted on TV. Half an hour into the game there is a close-up of a big fan - it’s the well known face of Mick Jagger, as he is watching the game. Mick is dressed in a blue coat, and wears a cap. In the second half of the match the camera picks up Mick once more. The score? Wimbledon - Man. U.: 1 - 0.

Mick Jagger took an evening off the recording works in Los Angeles, when he took the 2 - 3 hours drive south to San Diego, to check out the U2 concert on Monday, April 28. Mick surely went to see a good show, and pick up some ideas!

Mick and Jerry is pictured arriving at the after show party. And you may notice the wall of cameras behind Mick&Jerry. Great shot by Colin Mason!
