No Security did sell 18,000 copies in the UK between november 1998 and june 1999 and only charted at #67 there, the Brits were not happy at all with the Stones in 1998 after the tour cancelation by tax reasons and the press was very hard for the band.

QuoteDuane in Houston To me the interesting part of Katy Perry guesting on Beast of Burden is that I'm pretty sure she's never even heard this song before that night. Beast of Burden was a monor "hit" when it was released in 1978. Katy Perry was born 6 years later in 1984. If she became even slightly cognizant of pop music at around the age of 12 that would be 18 years after it was rele

Quotelaertisflash You mention 775, 000 and i suppose the number reffers to six weeks too. Is there another source, more credible than “Mediatraffic”? I would like to know. Thanks! 775,000 was the number of each CD included on GRRR, that's 258,000 3CD's sets x 3. About another source, here's a link, but I think their numbers are a bit high, anyway it's interesting too:

QuoteMax'sKansasCity George, I was hoping you would eventually share with us the numbers for the December 15 2012 Stones PPV.... will/did they release those?... or do you know what they were? Sadly these numbers are not public except some cases, the show didn't rank among the top 200 viewed shows on TV in the U.S that week. The #200 show got 250,000 views so the PPV sold less than that.

The album (#12 in the chart this week) has sold 103,000 copies in the UK in only 3 weeks, by far the best worldwide performance by the album. Doom and Gloom remains in the Top 75 singles by third week at #68 and has sold over 30k digital copies, not bad at all by a new Stones single in 2012. In comparison the album has sold 48,000 copies in the US and is already down to #64 after 2 weeks.

"The Rolling Stones' GRRR! drops from #19 to #64 in its second week, proving that a 50th anniversary hook isn't enough to sell a three-disk album in this market and/or that even with name-checks in #1 hits by Ke$ha and Maroon 5 featuring Christina Aguilera, Mick Jagger is still a distant figure to today's record buyers." The CD is selling decent all over the world except in the

Quotememphiscats I'm confused (maybe I missed it in the list) but I remember getting Hot Rocks on vinyl in 1976. But on the list it says 1990...wasn't 1990 the reissue? It was released in the UK in June 1990, the original US release date was on December 15, 1971.

It won't make the US Top 15 for sure, it's very expensive at retail there ($18-22 average) and the competition in the charts are way too important right now, maybe in a couple of weeks with some Amazon cheap deal it could break into the Top 10. So far it debuted at #3 in Ireland, #4 in the Netherlands and Belgium. Tomorrow, it will debut at Top 5 in the UK charts.
