Quotehbwriter And if you look at Jagger with Grohl - he seems to be feeling, "Thank god someone with crazy energy like me is up here - this is what a show is supposed to be" And thats exactly what the Grohl haters can't stand

Quoterollingon Quotecrumbling_mice Dave Grohl is tiresome...all that flapping about for very little musically and what he does play is not suited to Bitch. I wasn't aware of his comments about Keith but if that's the case why the @#$%& did they let him be last night's special pest? Let's face it Grohl will turn up to the opening of a super market if invited so not such a big attraction. Hope

Quotelaertisflash "If AEG loses lots of money, no other promoter will give the Stones what they currently ask as guaranteed pay. Which means no fall tour, no european tour, no whatever tour..." Firebird, i tried to argue that, by these ticket prices, even after the $85 offering the two gigs have been more profitable than what they would be by a "regular" ticket stragedy. I

Quotelaertisflash ...But IMO what counts is that people wait until the last minute to take a tolerable priced ticket and see the Stones... Thats nice for people living in the area where the shows happen, but if you have to pay flights, hotels and so on it's a different story. The other thing is that othe promoters will monitor the situation closely. If AEG loses lots of money, no other prom

Quotetreaclefingers Quotefirebird The closer we get to show time the more $85 tix will pop up. Thats just the strategy, first sell as many overpriced tickets as possible then fill up the venue with $85 tickets. And in the end both sides were right, those who said that the overpriced tickets will not sell well and those who said the shows will be sold out It's the pricing strategy that airli

Quoteuhbuhgullayew QuoteKurt Quoteclance65 Quotedonvis So I am a sheep for paying that? On the other hand you couldn't pay ME to go to Bruce Springsteen! Thank you. I find it offensive as well, that I'm some "sheep" for paying the high ticket price. I don't understand why some people pay thousands of dollars for artwork that sits on a wall. They must really admire it. I don't

Quotemaradona Quotefirebird But the ref Two goals irregular and Bayern should have been awarded three hand penaltys THE ref ?!?!? Shit happens! It would only be a disaster if the ref had 4 people supporting him and even two of them standing close to the goals Yeah, but as far as i know the two refs behind the goals are only allowed to tell if the ball crossed the goal line. They are not

Well I don't think the bass was very high in the mix, just the guitars were to low. I'm wondering if that was done intentionally just to play it safe for the live PPV. We all know that Keith and Ronnie have their "bad guitar day" from time to time so let Darryl und Chuck kind of carry the sound at the beginning of the show and if it turns out that Keith and Ronnie are doing good put the

Found this page about the maker of this guitars, Kari Nieminen: Some Stones content there: QuoteRonnie Wood of The Rolling Stones has bought eight guitars from him, and Keith Richards has two. ... Soon Roger Daltrey walked into a store in Santa Monica and became infatuated with Nieminen’s acoustic guitar. “He was so excited that he let me use his name for free in marketing. He also

QuoteDandelionPowderman I agree with Tele, but Ronnie's solo on YCAGWYW deserves a mention here as well. That was simply stunning, and it came out of left field! When was the last time he did a great solo on this tune? Hmm... when was the last time they played it with Taylor? But seriously, Ronnie really played very very good on this tour

QuoteNoCode0680 Quotelorno578 Is it just me or is the sound on the broadcast sound a little muffled. The picture is fine, just the sounds seems a little off. Thought? I was going to say the same thing. It sounds very flat, muffled, and the guitars a pretty low in the mix. I can hear Chuck and Darryl better than Keith and Ronnie. I'm sure they'll remaster/remix it before any physical release

Quotemaumau so as rolling stones fans we should judge music and performances from the standpoint of virtuosism... No, of cause you can judge it from any standpoint you prefer. Im just trying to explain why i personally don't like the version with florence Welch

It seems like I am the only one who does not like it. Lisa is a way better singer technically, she has the better voice, a wider range and shows more musicality. She is singing harmonics where Florence Welch is just doubling Micks notes. Look at this version This is at least ten times better than what Florence Welch did
