I said earlier that tickets will now flood the market.......once the excitement and hype from the opening show is gone and everyone has watched the YouTube clips, it all becomes rather mundane. Another reason why the pre mobile phone era really was the golden age......

Let's be honest what you rather hear , out of control or can't you hear me knocking. Surely at the prices they were charging, they had some sort of duty to play the songs that the audience would most want to hear.......and Out of Control is not one of them

1. The initial mystique of the event is now gone for those going to the remaining gigs (and that was what was so good about the Led Zep reunion being a one off) 2. Prices for any remaining tickets will come right down 3. The fact that wyman and Taylor did not play together is a real downer 4. Despite a few different songs being played, just another variation of the Vegas concerts of the last 2

First became aware of Stones as a 15 yr old circa 75/76 with Rolled Gold. Idolized them next few years, loved IORR, Love you Live, etc. Went to Knebworth then saw them Wembley 82. Have been a big part of my life ever since, but despite seeing them in 89, several times in 90s, 2003 (Enmore show) and 2005 (yawn), I have no interest in anything recorded since tattoo you. Shine a light movie perh

Appears to have completely slipped under thr radar, obviously as a result of the real deal currently being in business. However would have expected more comments, reviews etc. Maybe it's just very very ordinary?"??

12. Viagogo
Just checked viagogo for first London concert. 28 pages of tickets available. Couldn't be bothered to count how many available but on first 3 pages an average of around 40 per page, therefore assume 1,120 being offered. Startingg around 500 pounds for cheapest, with lower tier tickets starting around 700 pounds. Safe to assume that 1120 tickets (equating to 6% of seats for entire show) are not

QuotePaulhanrahan I consider myself a very significant fan of the Stones and I live in one of the most isolated cities in the world - Perth, Western Australia. Unfortunately I was too young to see them at the WACA in '73, but I sure did hear them from across the Swan River! I think with these gigs there's a bit going on here, and more than mabe we appreciate. Ok so Branson and Dainty are using th

QuoteSend It To me they're guaranteed $25 million, regardless of whether anyone shows up or not. there is no backfire. In terms of public perception of "the event" the over-riding image is one of gred and financial gain".........the LZ event in 2007 is quite untarred by the same brush, LZ coming out of it smelling of roses, RS will come out of this smelling of poo.....

QuoteMileHigh It's the power of the Internet in action. It's a double-edged sword for sure and this time the small guys have a voice. I just posted on another thread that in the States the tickets should be $50 and in the UK 35 Pounds. I also forgot to mention another thing. No graduated ticket prices where the closer you are the more you pay. It's just gross. Let ordinary people get a

Without going into all the rights and wrongs of ticket prices etc, let's face it the whole thing has backfired in their faces. All the publicity is not about the great event it should be, but the ticket prices and so called greed of RS. Incredible to think that they employ an army of expensive PR people who could not have sen this whole thing blowing up in their faces. Sure has taken the gl

Call me crazy if you will, I'm between jobs at the moment (gardening leave as it is known), with time on my side I'm thinking about hopping on a plane to NYC to see what I can see. After all, with a couple of days of intell from the streets, should not be too hard to find where they are bunkered down and to find the actual facts. Long way to fly from down under but I 'm currently checking out

There must be a heap of mums out there in burb land who did get nailed by mick (or other rockers)in their youth but for obvious reasons (husband, kids etc) cannot talk about it today, shame really because they really would have a story to tell. Boot is on the other foot for you guys of course. If you nailed Marianne or Anita back in the day, you would be screaming from the rooftops.

Saw Sam at Bluesfest at Byron Bay couple of weeks back. He's looking lean, mean but old at the same time. Had a long chat with him in the beer queue!!!! He's written an article about the Stones in the 20th Anniversary special issue of Rythms magazine, pretty good read, basically saying they should get back to what they do best, play the blues and dispatch with all the special effects and the hoop
