Quoteozziestone Agreed andrewm. Modulation can work well. But also can be a lazy way of pepping up an otherwise ordinary song. Come On is a good example of the later. My band struggles with key changes I must say-we tend to ignore them (eg Lodi) I recall Chuck Berry trying to change key in the middle of Roll of Beethoven on Hail Hail with Keith firmly stopping him I'm not sure if Keith w

Quotetatters Quotelazzzybones Here's one to start: Elton John joining in on one of the worst vomit-inducing songs of all time "That's What Friends Are For". Why,Elton,Why? That's was the straw that broke the camel's back with Elton for me. That was the last straw? You mean you were okay with his disco version of Johnny B. Goode? Could almost be Robbie Williams in this clip.....

Like everybody else on this board, I'm a huge Stones fan. I love pretty much everything they did up until Tattoo You but GHS is the one album I've never 'got'.Every now and again I give it another listen and for some reason it never sticks with me. I don't mean just mean it's poor compared to the previous 'big four' albums that we all know and love- aside from Heartbreaker and Star Star it just s

Quotecn854 Great book!!!!! I'm a BIG Taylor fan and I thought MT's hair was too long for these two hotel shots to be taken on the 1972 tour, 1979 is probably right. Can't say that I think Rose Taylor was a "stunner", nice legs but what happened to the rest.....LOL From looking at these pics though, Taylor was certainly a big part of the band and was NOT an outsider like many think he

QuoteGazza QuoteFather Ted The quality of that DVD is appalling. Barely watchable imo. By no stretch of the imagination would I say it's "decent quality". Get it off a torrent for free and save yourself some money. it also says above that its a pro shot. Is it? No, that should say 'definitely not pro-shot'

QuoteGazza Quotehbwriter you really think it's paint it black? seriously? i hear let it rock 100%, Chris. Think of it logically. If its March 1971 and you're at a Rolling Stones show in a university in England, why would you be shouting a request for a Chuck Berry song that the band had never recorded and which (in all likelihood) you had no idea they'd ever played live? I think the ori

There are certainly a few songs for which no video is available. Midnight Rambler, Live With Me and SFTD come to mind. I think somebody on here mentioned they were compiling as close to a complete concert as possible using the GYYYO dvd and other sources. If they do, I'd love to see it...
